摘  要：随着经济社会的快速发展和环境污染问题的日益凸显，国家和地方对生态环境保护问题日渐重视，环境工程专业人才的社会需求逐渐增加，社会对人才的培养质量要求越来越高。环境工程是典型的工程应用学科，高校环境工程专业肩负着为祖国培养环境保护高级专门人才的重担。文章以中南民族大学为例，分析经济社会快速发展对环境工程专业人才的社会需求。同时，通过分析民族院校学生特点和现存教学过程存在的不足，探索专业人才培养的应对策略，完善应用型人才的培养机制，以期为国家和社会培养高质量环境工程专业技术人才。

Abstract： With the rapid development of economy and society， and the increasingly emergence of prominent environmental issues， the country and local provinces pay more and more attentions to the ecological environment protection nowadays. The social requirements for environmental engineering professionals is increasing， as well as the education quality of the graduates. Environmental engineering is a typical applied engineering discipline， and colleges and universities bear the important burden of educating senior professionals majored in environmental protection for the society. This paper takes the Central South University for Nationalities as an example to analyze the social demand for environmental engineering talents. Furthermore， through the analysis of the characteristics of the students in ethnic universities and the existed problems in teaching process， this study tries to explore the strategy of professional talents education， aiming to improve the education mechanism of application-oriented talents， hoping that will be helpful for training high-quality environmental engineering professionals for the country and the society.

工程教育專业认证是国际通行的工程教育质量保障制度，工程教育认证的开展为我国高等院校的工程教育带来了重要变革，对高水平工程技术人才的培养具有重要的指导意义[1-2]。环境工程作为典型的工程应用学

科，集科学理论、应用实践和工程技术于一体。以工程教育认证为契机，对环境工程专业人才培养模式进行改革，以培养符合国家重大战略发展需求，符合地方经济社会可持续发展和生态环境治理需要的高质量环境保护专业技术人才，是广大高等院校亟需思考的问题[3]。

近年来，我国经济蓬勃发展，但是经济的快速发展常以资源浪费和环境污染为代价，产生了一系列严重的生态环境问题，其中水资源和土地资源的污染尤为突出，严重影响人民生活，制约社会经济的可持续发展。……
