摘 要 科学普及是提高公民素质、支撑科技创新驱动发展的动力。地理科学学院自然地理实验室的天文地质馆成立之初就在进行科普实践与探索。论文阐述了科普实践发展成熟过程、科普活动的形式;论述了高校实验平台科普改进的思考：（1）加强顶层设计，明确实验中心科普的职责;（2）健全科普人才队伍建设，确保科普工作长效性;（3）加强科普理念建设，普及科学知识到传播科学思维;（4）应用新技术、新平台，创新科普方法。

Abstract The popularization of science is the power to improve citizens' quality and to support the development driven by scientific and technological innovation. At the beginning of its establishment， the astro-geological Museum of the Natural Geography Laboratory of the College of Geosciences has been carrying out the practice and exploration of Popular Science. This paper expounds the mature process of the practice of popular science and the forms of popular science activities， discusses the thinking of the improvement of popular science in university experimental platform 1. Strengthen the top-level design， defining the responsibilities of the experimental center for popular science， 2. Perfect the construction of the ranks of popular science talents， to ensure the long-term effectiveness of the popularization of Science; 3. Strengthen the construction of the concept of the popularization of science， popularize scientific knowledge and disseminate scientific thinking; 4. Apply new technologies and platforms， and to innovate the methods of the popularization of Science.

《中华人民共和国科学技术普及发》的第十五条，明确指出高等院校应当组织和支持科学技术工作者和教师开展科普活动，鼓励其结合本职工作进行科普宣传;有条件的，应当向公众开放实验室、陈列室和其他场地、设施，举办讲座和提供咨询。[1] 西南大学地理科学学院自然地理实验室的天文地质实验中心积极响应此号召，开展科普活动，文中以该中心为例，探索高校实验室科普建设的经验与教训，供高校实验室开展科普活动建设借鉴。

1 天文地质实验实验中心科普活动实践与探索

地科院天文地质中心2007年在原来的“地球概论”实验室的基础上扩建而成，2010年和我院的地理信息系统实验室一起获批重庆市省际实验教学示范中心，2012年被重庆市确定为市级科普基地。天文地质实验中心下设天文展览馆、天象演示厅、天文观测厅、地……
