摘 要：大学专业英语是一门实用型英语课程。该课程对提升学生专业素养，培养学生国际化学术视野具有重要作用。然而，许多大学对专业英语的教学质量却远落后于公共英语的教学。通过简要分析专业英语课程对学生的重要性和当前高校普遍存在对专业英语教学质量低下情况，提出领导式教学的概念以及在提高大学专业英语教学效果上可能发挥的作用。结合《环境科学与工程专业英语》的教学实践，着重论述了领导式教学的理念、具体实施步骤和实施效果。最后，对领导式教学方法提出几点思考。

The Application of Teaching as Leadership in College Specialized English

Abstract：College specialized English is a practical course which can play an important role in improving students' professional quality and cultivating international vision. However，it is almost general truth that the teaching quality of specialized English is lower than public English. By analyzing the importance of specialized English to students. We put forward the concept of teaching as leadership and the possible role in improving the teaching effect of college specialized English. Combining with the teaching practice of "environmental science and engineering professional English"，this paper mainly discusses the concept，the specific implementation steps and results of teaching as leadership. In the end，this paper puts forward three rethinks on this teaching methods.

在经济全球化的背景下，社会对既懂专业知识又能熟练运用英语人才的需求大大增加。具有较高专业英语素养的大学毕业生无论是就业还是深造，竞争优势都十分明显[1]。按照我国高等教育方针的规定，高等教育培养人才要与实际生产劳动相结合，要与学生未来的职业规划相结合。英语教育作为高等教育的重要组成部分，已经不再单纯以拥有语言和文化知识为导向，而要以学生未来职业相结合的实用功能性为主要诉求[2]。具体来说就是英语的学习必须与学生所学的专业相结合。专业英语就是以专业基础为背景的实用功能型英语。《大学英语教学大纲》指出学习专业英语是促进学生从英语基础知识学习到对英语进行实际运用过渡的有效途径，也能够更好地体现我国高等教育方针。……
