摘 要 后续课程是大学英语教学改革探索的重点方向，但存在开设课程多样化，却随意性较大，缺乏系统性；多以选修课为主，缺乏课程设置的重视与远见；教师开课热情高涨，却缺乏有效的师培配套等问题。只有高处着眼，把握课程体系构建；聚焦校本，建立特色后续课程；同时加强进修，培养优质教学团队，方能更科学有效地开展后续课程教学。

Abstract As the major direction for College English teaching and exploration， follow-up courses in many universities are diverse but random and unsystematic， mainly in the form of elective courses， resulting in the short-sighted vision and inadequate emphasis for the course. Teachers' passion for developing follow-up courses is hindered by the lack of opportunity for teacher training. Therefore， only by setting a high goal to establish systematic follow-up courses， by focusing on features of each university to set up specialized follow-up courses， by developing a highly qualified teaching team through training， can follow-up courses for College English be efficiently and effectively established and performed.

0 前言

我国的英语教育事业经过几十年的发展，普及了全民英语教育、提升了整体国民英语水平。因而，当大学新生入校之际，其英语水平相比二十年、十年之前已不可同日而语，其英语词汇量、语法掌握程度、听说读写等能力都达到了新的台阶。这对大学英语教学而言，既是挑战也是机遇。但如果大学英语教学还是一味停留于语法、词汇、句型等基础英语教学，必然不能完全满足大学生的英语学习需求。因此，只有在大学英语基础课程之外开展后续课程以针对性地提高学生某一专项领域的英语水平，方能满足大学生对大学英语的学习需求。

1 大學英语后续课程概念及其定位

大学英语后续课程的提法是最近几年才为学界所普遍接受和使用的。其实后续课程在此之前就有不同的称谓，从最初的“四级后教学”，再到后来的“大学英语拓展教程”，名称不一。那么，什么是大学英语后续课程呢？姚文清（2016）认为“大学英语后续课程就是在大学四年中，学生完成英语基础课程后进行英语语言应用能力的后续提高、完善与补充的课程。……
