摘要：对康奈尔大学的体育课程模式进行了归纳与分析，研究发现：康奈尔大学体育课程目标与标准明确详细、课程内容丰富有趣、课程学分设置合理、评价方式科学。康奈尔大学体育课程模式所呈现的课程目标注重体育社会价值、课程内容注重延伸性、课程开设注重阶梯性与挑战性以及活动形式注重兴趣性等特点，对我国高校体育课程模式改革具有借鉴价值。

The modes and characteristics of the physical education curriculum implemented by Cornell University and inspirations therefrom

Abstract: The author summarized and analyzed the modes of the physical education curriculum implemented by Cornell University, and revealed the following findings: as for the physical education curriculum implemented by Cornell University, its objectives and standards are definite and detailed, its contents are rich and interesting, its credit settings are rational, its evaluation manners are scientific. Characteristics presented in the modes of the physical education curriculum implemented by Cornell University, such as curriculum objectives focusing on social values of physical education, curriculum contents focusing on extensibility, curriculum opening focusing on gradualness and challenges, activity forms focusing on interestingness etc., have a reference value for college physical education curriculum mode reform in China.

康奈尔大学是美国常春藤(IVY League)联盟8校之一(“常春藤联盟”这个名称起源于20世纪初由8所美国东北部大学组成的体育联盟)，是全美高等院校运动协会成员，拥有全美最多元运动计划的大学之一，它赞助了36支大学代表队。康奈尔大学对学生体育锻炼十分重视，首任校长怀特认为引导国民开展体育锻炼，加强体育课教学是至关重要的。青年人只有具备强健体魄才有可能胜任繁重的智力发展任务。康奈尔大学自创办之日始，即将体育教育与卫生学列为学生必修科目。在康奈尔大学，体育课已被赋予了更重要的使命：为高深知识提供合适的容器[1]。康奈尔大学对体育课的重视程度由此可见一斑。

体育课程模式是高校体育教学的重要组成部分，是提高体育教育质量的核心环节[2]，决定着高校体育教育目标的实现。为较为深入了解康奈尔大学的体育课程模式，作者于2010年10月—2011年2月与2011年6—9月期间，先后两次在美国康奈尔大学，从体育课程模式角度进行参与性考察，对体育课程模式所涉及的体育课程设置、体育场地设施、学生参与及教师教学等情况进行了实地调查。……
