【摘要】林语堂不仅是著名的翻译家、文学家、语言学家，更是一位具有独特教育学思想和教学方法的教育学家，在英文教学及英文文法书编纂中始终贯穿“意念”之方法——“意念法（notional approach）”，认为英语教学的目的应着重于学生“表达能力”的培養，其思想对当今大学英语教学模式改革具有重要指导意义，大学英语教学应打破传统的以字词和语法讲授为核心的教学模式，重在对学生“意义-形式”思维模式、“汉语——英语”思维模式以及“异化——归化”思维模式的建构，实现学生对不同意念范畴及同一意念范畴下不同意念表达方式的灵活运用。

The Study on the Reform of College English Teaching Approach

Based on the “Notional Approach” of Lin Yutang

【Abstract】Lin Yutang，not only the famous translator，literateur and linguist but also the distinguished educationalist with special teaching thought and teaching methods，focuses on the “notional approach” both in his English teaching and the compilation of grammatical books. He regards the cultivation of students expression ability as the core purpose of English teaching，which highlights the reform of modern College English teaching approach. The traditional teaching approach based on words and grammar is supposed to be discarded. And it is essential to cultivate the students ability to have a good mastery of the different notional categories as well as the sub-corresponding expression forms，with the realization of the students transition from notion to the expression forms，from foreignization to domestication，and from the Chinese thinking mode to English thinking mode.

前言

随着2016年6月大学英语四六级考试重大调整，四级听力部分新增了新闻类型考题，六级听力部分新增了讲座/讲话类考题，听力难度明显加大，听力部分占四级总分的35%，历来是学生得分相对较少的一个部分，四六级新题型调整势必对学生四六级通过率形成重重困难。四六级口语考试题型也作出了相应调整，听说是语言输出的两个重要方面，相对于语言输入的阅读技能而言，听力和口语是学生英语学习的两大薄弱环节，以大班教学的大学英语在课程设置、教学理念及教学方法等方面都急需做出重大改革和调整。
