摘  要：在英语教学中突出思辨能力培养是20年多来国内英语教育改革的焦点之一。思辨能力相关理论与英语教学的配适度问题一直备受关注，在大学英语课时有限的前提下，哪种思辨能力模型更加适合大学英语教学呢？理查德·保罗和琳达·埃尔德提出的由思维要素、智力特征和思辨能力标准组成的思辨能力三元结构模型及其相关理论和操作指南为大学英语教师教学和学生自学提供理论指导和实操办法，使英语水平和思辨能力同步提高。

Abstract： The cultivation of critical thinking in English teaching has been one of the focuses of China's English teaching reform for the past two decades. How to apply critical thinking theories appropriately to English teaching has been a great concern. Taking the limited class hours of College English into consideration， this paper thinks Richard Paul and Linda Elder's critical thinking theory including elements of reasoning， intellectual traits and intellectual standards， five levels of close reading and detailed instruction can offer theoretical guidance and serve as an effective tool for college English teachers' in-class teaching and students' after-class practice and self-study， allowing students to develop English competency and critical thinking skills at the same time.

经过20多年的发展，思辨能力已被许多外语教师接受。他们在教学比赛中将之列为教学目标之一就是例证（文秋芳等[1]）。如何将思辨能力理论应用于英语教学？一些教师做了有代表性的尝试，他们用思辨能力相关理论来指导各类英语教学或建构英语课程教学模式，以期提高学生的思辨能力，比如，陈红等[2]、刘晓民[3]、冯欣[4]、李冠杰[5]、石丽娜等[6]、靳钰[7]、张郭丽[8]用文秋芳等[9]的思辨能力层级理论模型，韩少杰等[10]、李莉文[11]、王建卿[12]、余继英[13]和张靖[14]用理查德·保罗（Richard Paul）和琳达·埃尔德（Linda Elder）[15-20]的思辨能力三元结构模型，楊莉芳[21]和彭晓娟[22]用布鲁姆（Benjamin Bloom）-安德森（Lorin Anderson）①的六层认知能力模型，阮全友[23]和陈晶[24]用福里博迪（Freebody）和卢克（Luke）[25]的四层学习身份模型。
