摘 要：机器翻译的投入与发展使翻译效率得到很大提高，但其翻译质量备受语境制约，文化语境就是影响机器翻译质量的一个主要因素。文章以“有道翻译官”译文为例，从文化语境所涵盖的四大要素角度探讨其对机器翻译质量的影响，进而提出人机交互协作、多重技术相融合、改进并扩容有关文化语境的语料库等应对机器翻译弊端的策略，以期有效提高机器翻译质量。

On Influences of Cultural Contexts upon the Machine Translation Quality and Strategies to Cope with Disadvantages of the Machine Translation

——A Case Study of  "Youdao Translator"

Abstract： The investment and development of machine translation have greatly improved the efficiency of translation， but its translation quality is restricted by context， and cultural context is a major factor affecting the quality of machine translation. Taking the translation of "Youdao Translator" as an example， the paper discusses its impact on the quality of machine translation from the perspective of the four major elements covered by cultural context， and then proposes human-computer interaction， the integration of multiple technologies， and the improvement and expansion of the corpus of related cultural contexts to deal with the drawbacks of machine translation， in order to effectively improve the quality of machine translation.

随着经济全球化进程的加快和互联网的日益发展，网络信息激增，国际社会交流愈加频繁，如何克服交际过程中的语言障碍成为翻译界的一大课题，机器翻译应运而生。有道翻译官、谷歌翻译、百度翻译、金山词霸等机器翻译软件的出现，使翻译及其研究领域出现了“技术转向”[1]74。机器翻译又可称为计算机翻译，简单来说就是“利用计算机将一种语言符号转换成另一语言符号”[2]10。机器翻译软件操作简单、成本低廉、效率较高且能做到大规模翻译，给人们了解世界进而进行交流带来了莫大的便利。

1954年世界上第一台翻译机器投入试验，IBM公司使用IBM-701计算机将几个简单的俄语句子翻译成了英语，从此掀起了机器翻译研究的浪潮。……
