摘 要 随着中西方文化交流的日益深入，翻译不再仅仅是两种语言之间的简单转换，更承担起了文化传递的重要作用。汉语与英语都是承载着浓厚文化底蕴的语言，只有将翻译与文化自然融合，才能达到真正的交流。

Culture Differences to Translation

Abstract With the increasingly deepening of the cultural communication between China and the west world, translation is no more the simple conversion between the two languages. It has been playing an important role of cultural transition.Both Chinese and English are blessed with very deep-rooted cultures. Therefore, the smooth communication can only be achived through the natural emerging of the translation and the cultures.

随着中西方文化交流的日益深入，翻译不再仅仅是两种语言之间的转换，更承担起了文化传递的重要作用。由于语言和文化的密切关系，文化因素在一定程度上影响语言的交流。如果我们能正确处理其中涉及到的这些文化因素，对文化翻译的准确性将会起到很大的促进作用。

1 地域文化不同

生活在不同的自然环境中的人会形成不同的文化，特殊的地理环境形成了各自所独有的民族心态。要在跨语言背景的交流中，加强母语和英语的地域因素差异性的比较，积累语言置换的差异性规律的探索，才能有效地实现地域因素影响下汉英语之间的差异性和独特性的默契与融合。

例如，英国是一个岛国，古时候的英国人喜欢海上航行，因而英语中有大量有关水的词语；而中国人则生活在亚洲广袤无垠的内陆土地上，因而对中国人来讲，理解这些表达方式就较为困难。比如：able seaman 一级水平，seaman 直译为海员，在西方国家 “ seaman ” 又指代有能力、有水平的海员，因此 “ able seaman ” 可意译为 “ 一级水平 ”。be left high and dry 陷入困境，直译为被留在水流到达不了的地方，在西方国家水给人以安全祥和的感觉，因此“ be left high and dry ”可意译为陷入困境。……
