摘 要：随着不断上涨的燃油价格、更加严格的排放法规，都促使汽车工程师们要不断地去探索新方法，以使汽车省油并降低废气排放。最后工程师们想到了等红灯、堵塞、临时停车等路况时是不是可以让发动机不运转，借此起动停止系统应运而生。上世纪70年代最早涉及起停系统的车企是丰田公司，随着技术发展，越来越多的车企也都开始拥有自己的起停系统。在下面的阐述中以奥迪为原型。

Fault Diagnosis and Elimination of Audi Start-Stop System

Abstract：With rising fuel prices and stricter emission regulations， automotive engineers are urged to continuously explore new methods to save fuel and reduce exhaust emissions. The engineers thought about whether the engine can be stopped when waiting for red lights， blockages， temporary parking， etc.， so that the start-stop system came into being. The earliest car company involved in the start-stop system in the 1970s was Toyota. With the development of technology， more and more car companies began to have their own start-stop systems. In the following description， Audi is the prototype.

起动/停止系统（以下简称起停）即Start/Stop，也称为智能启动停止系统，当车辆完全停住时，起动停止系统会自动关闭发动机，而当车辆要行驶的时候，发动机又会自动起动。之所以要采用起停系统，是受到排放法规的要求，所以起停系统可以减少约0.2L/100km的燃油，最主要还有约5g/100km的二氧化碳。

1 起停系统概况

1.何时采用起停系统，从2009年的6月份开始起，奥迪开始提供配有起动/停止系统的车辆，首批车型是A3、A4和A5，一开始配备在手动变速箱，接着也可以在双离合变速箱上面，到最后在自动变速箱上面也可以实现。

2.起停系统是如何工作的，在满足一定的条件下，起动停止功能就会开始工作，当一辆车在红绿灯前慢慢停下，通过制动将车辆停止，此时发动机就会熄火，仪表中会有指示灯亮起，你也会看到仪表上面的转速指针在0或者READY位置。

等红灯变成绿灯后，驾驶员只需要松开制动器，那么发动机就会自动启动，然后车辆就可以正常前行。……
