摘 要：2020年高考英语全国Ⅲ卷中出现so that引导表语从句，体现了口语和网络对高考英语的现实影响。在完形填空题、阅读理解中，大量出现口语用词，甚至有三处还直接作为了考点和正确答案的选项。在听力中，美式发音及语流音变随处可见。表明高考英语语言材料及听力语音在向网络化、美语化、口语化方向发展，该文建议高中英语教学中更多地使用美式发音、美国口语和网络上的英文外媒文章。

2020年高考英语全国III卷中短文填空第40空答案句“This was so that the person could keep their home warm for the winter.”很让人震惊：so that竟然引导了表语从句！ 难道今年的英语高考命题出现了新动向？。

一、so that引导表语从句

在中学教学中，还从来没有遇见过so that引导表语从句的课文或考题。《现代英语用法词典》、《新牛津英汉双解大辞典》、《柯林斯高阶英语学习词典》，等经典辞书都没有提及so that引导表语从句。只有《柯林斯英语网·英语问答》上刘永科和曹荣禄两位老师回答和讨论这个难题。笔者整理一部分如下：《麦克米伦英语词典》例句：The whole idea of going was so that we could meet her new boyfriend. so that we could meet her new boyfriend是表语从句。idea 在本句的意思是“目的”。so that 原本引导目的状语从句，现在可以用来引导表语从句，但主语多为表示“目的”的词语，例如：aim， purpose， idea， reason 等。但是，这种用法比较少见。刘老师总结道： “语言在发展，语法规则有时候就显得力不从心。因此，语法应该及时修订和增加新的内容。”[1]。

网络《有道词典》收录了各网站关于so that引导的30例表语从句。比如：（1）（article.yeeyan.org）The main motivation for librarians to assert their professional status is so that they can lay claim to higher-paid “ALA Accredited Degree or Equivalent” positions in library institutions.（2）（v.163.com）And the point of this is so that you don't come to class heads down the whole time thinking everything I say is absolutely worthy of being written down.（3）（danci.911cha.com） This is so that they do not run the risk of sacrificing their independence.

筆者认为，这其实是网络口语使语言向前发展了。现代语言学中的美国描写语言学已逐渐被人接受，原来在规定性语法中被排斥的，而今从描述性语法角度而言是可以接受的。……
