摘要 ：日本有其特殊的地理环境，特殊环境造就了独具风格的文化，这种文化與中国传入的禅宗思想相融合，深深影响着日本设计，使其具有回归本源、超脱万物、无意识并纯粹自然的特点。本文在理解设计禅意的基础上，对日本的平面设计、服装设计、建筑设计以及产品设计作品作出简要的评价与分析，力图探讨禅宗文化在日本设计中的应用体现。禅宗文化在日本设计中的应用，也反映了一种文化本身对创意思维及设计内涵的影响，设计因文化元素的融入而更具灵魂。

Abstract ：Japan has its special geographical environment， which has created a unique culture. It had a deep influence on Japanese design that characterized by returning to its origin， being detached from all things， unconsciousness and pure nature. Based on the understanding of Zen， the paper makes a brief of evaluation and analysis of Japanese graphic design， costume design， architectural design and product design works， and tries to explore the application process of Zen culture in design. The application of Zen culture in Japanese design also reflects the influence of a kind of culture on creative thinking， which becomes more soul because of the integration of cultural elements.

日本镰仓时代初期，南宋的绘画艺术由频繁往来于中日两国的禅僧们传入日本，作为艺术家的禅僧们将禅宗艺术和文化相结合，对日本造成了很深的影响，很多日本贵族因此开始修习起禅宗。禅宗对日本国民文化生活的方方面面都有着深远影响，例如日本的剑道和茶道中，都蕴含着满满的禅意。此外，日本的许多艺术作品以及文化中也透漏着一种清澈简单的生活方式，不追求过于繁杂的修饰。日本的绘画艺术特别强调留白，而这种留白正是禅宗思想的精神体现，不直白地表达意图，却留给无限想象的空间 [1]。文章从禅宗文化的角度出发，通过对日本设计作品独特风格的解读，阐述禅宗文化在日本设计中的应用过程，进一步论证禅宗文化对日本设计风格形成的深远影响。……
