1 关系代词和关系副词的定义

（1）如表1 所示，关系词分为关系代词和关系副词，关系词用来连接被它所替代的名词和这个名词后所要接的从句。

（2）关系副词可代替的先行词是时间、地点或理由的名词，在从句中作状语。

（3）关系代词用来连结它所代替的名词和关系从句。关系代词所代替的名词，称为先行词。

（1）qui

（2）充当主语

①当其先行词指人可以类比who

·L’hôte qui était en même temps le chef allait de l’âtre aux casseroles, fort occupé(...)(V.Hugo)

·The host who was at the same time the chef went from the hearth to the pots, very busy（...)

客店老板也是厨房的领班师傅，围着锅台忙碌着……

②当其先行词指物时可类比which

·C’est une conférence à Vienne qui s'est terminée vendredi.

·This is a conference in Vienna which ended on Friday.

这是一场在维也纳举行并于星期五结束的会议。

（3）充当间接宾语，状语，或补语（qui 前常有介词，且其先行词只能代指人，此时，可类比whom)

·Le médecin, à qui nous avons téléphoné tarde à venir.

·The doctor, whom we called, is slow in coming.

我们已经打电话请那位医生了，可他姗姗来迟。

·Jean, de qui je viens de recevoir une lettre va venir à Beijing.

·John, from whom I just received a letter, is coming to Beijing.

我刚收到让的来信，他来北京了。

①当其先行词代指人，可类比whom

·(...)les garçons et les filles que Julien avait vus au tennis arrivèrent.(B.Clavel)

·(...)those boys and girls whom Julien had seen at tennis arrived.

朱利安在网球场上曾见到的小伙子和姑娘们走来了。

②当其先行词代指物时，可类比which

·La revue que j'ai empruntée lundi dernier est très intéressante.

·The magazine which I borrowed last Monday is very interesting.

我上星期一借来的那本杂志很有趣。

（6）充当表语

·II n'est plus l'homme qu'il était.

·He is no longer the man who he used to be.

他已不再是过去那个他了。

（7）总结：英语中对关系代词who,which 用法的区分主要体现在其所代指的先行词是人或物上；而法语中对关系代词qui,que 的区分主要体现在其所代指的先行词在从句中的句子成分上。

3 quoi 所代替的先行词只能为事物，它在书面语中更为多见。

（1）当quoi 所代指的先行词为间接宾语或状语时。
