[摘 要] 美国独立书店经历了多重发展阶段，从最初的实体书店匮乏至连锁书店的崛起，乃至在线书商的强势突袭以及有声读物的出现，都给美国独立书店的发展带来了不同程度的影响。自2009年触底后，美国独立书店近年来基本呈现兴盛发展趋势。当然，美国独立书店兴盛发展中亦有地域不均衡态势。本文结合美国独立书店发展历史，梳理剖析其运营经验，比如社区认同、特色打造、行业协同、丰富多元的产品服务。针对我国独立书店的发展，提出了强化特色主题、打造嵌入式书店旅游、深化阅读推广等发展建议。

[Abstract] American independent bookstores have seen various development periods since 1930s， including lack of brick-and-mortar bookstores， rise of chained booksellers， competition of online booksellers and appearance of audio books.  Despite all these， American independent bookstores are still alive. American independent bookstores have bottomed out and been thriving since 2009. American independent bookstores are featured with varied themes and some of them can be regarded as role models among independent bookstores. The article analyzes development history of American independent bookstores and combs their operation experiences，such as valuing community，features， industrial collaboration and varied products and services. Some suggestions are made in the article so that to provide some reference for domestic independent bookstores， such as strengthening features， developing bookstore tourism and deepening reading promotion.

在美國，实体书店的存亡是常被关注的话题，而独立书店又以特殊的身份格外引人关注。因为历史文化等原因，美国独立书店很多不仅品位独特，还动辄是具有数十年、近百年历史的“老字号”。本文结合美国独立书店的历史、实践、经营经验等进行梳理分析，以期为国内独立书店提供些许经验和参考。

1 美国独立书店概况

1.1 触底反弹，复苏兴盛

尽管面临亚马逊等网上书店、连锁书店的竞争，近十几年来美国独立书店不仅顽强生存，甚至还呈现复苏繁盛的势头。事实上，自2009年触底后，美国独立书店每年都在呈兴盛发展趋势，这在独立书店公司数量和独立书店数量，以及每年独立书店销售额上都有表现。

根据数据统计机构数特星（Statista.com）相关统计显示，2019年美国独立书店数量达到新高，共有1887家独立图书销售公司经营着2524家独立书店[1]。……
