摘  要：随着学科的调整和社会的发展，传统古生物学课程在教学上面临着诸多新的挑战。为了适应新的课程体系和社会需求，文章以中国地质大学（北京）为例，对古生物教学实践进行了一些初步的思考和探索。文章从古生物课程的现状、存在问题和未来的改革和探索方面进行了阐述。只有紧跟学科发展，不断补充新的内容，加强实践，增强学生的积极性，才能使这门古老的学科持续保持活力。

Abstract： With the development of the social and adjusting of subjects， traditional course of paleontology is facing a series of new challenges. In order to adapt to the new curriculum system and social development， a preliminary teaching exploration and practice on paleontology have been taken in this study， with China University of Geosciences （Beijing） as an example. The paper discusses the current situation， existing problems and future reform and exploration of the paleontology course. We suggest that only by keeping up with the development of the discipline， constantly adding new contents， strengthening practice and enhancing the enthusiasm of students， can this ancient discipline maintain its vitality.

古生物學作为一门具有悠久历史的地质学支柱学科，为地质学相关的科学研究和生产服务做出了重要贡献（童金南等，2012）。随着社会需求的变化和新一轮的学科调整，古生物学课程量大大降低，目前国内主要高校地质学专业古生物学的课程多为64、56、48，40学时，甚至更少。在过去十多年中，中国地质大学（武汉）、西北大学、兰州大学和中国石油大学（北京）等国内地质院校已对古生物学的教学体系和方法进行了的改革和探索（张云翔等，2004;童金南等，2008，2012;孙柏年等，2009;王海洲等，2020）。相比国内其他主要地质院校，中国地质大学（北京）古生物学在课程的设置和教学方式上变化较小，迫切需要开展进一步的改革和探索。如何合理安排课程内容、改进教学方式，使古生物学的课程能与时俱进，符合学科和时代的发展需要，成为古生物学课程教学面临的一个新的问题。本文基于作者……
