OW字母组合自然拼读

教学目标:通过拼读、朗诵、阅读等方式,学生学习、体验并记忆ow字母组合在单词中的发音。能运用所学,听出、读出、写出符合发音规律的课标规定的含有OW的单词。通过阅读,提高学生词汇量,开阔学生视野,培养学生积极的情感态度。

选取内容:PEP五年级上册第三单元,涉及了小学英语课标中规定的含有ow字母组合的单词。

设计依据及建议:本设计依据短课时、高频率、多接触之英语教学原则而做短课时设计。各版本中OW字母组合发/aʊ/的单词相对较多,设计三个课时,OW/aʊ/设计了两个课时,最后一个课时设计了总复习。建议每个短课时教学用时三到五分钟。

教学设计:

短课时教学设计一

1.T:Boys and girls,today we have two friends.Look,this is Mr.Slow.And this is Mr.Owl.Let’s say hello to Miss Slow and Mr.Owl.

Miss Slow and Mr.Owl have got the same letters“ow”.Now look at the picture,in this picture you can know ow/əʊ/.

Look at Miss Slow,what color is it?What about Mr.Owl?Yes.Miss Slow is yellow and Mr.Owl is yellow,too.

Now let’s read:ow,ow,/əʊ//əʊ//əʊ/,ow-ow-slowowow-yellow.(PPT展示)

2.T:If we add some letters,we can have more words with“ow”.Look,show them the picture.

T:Can you read them?Try to read.We can pronounce them as:o-w-ow/aʊ/;ow,ow,ow/əʊ/;l-ow-low;r-ow-row;m-ow—mow;s-ow-sow.Now look at the picture and read,then show them the word cards,read again(制作卡片时,ow做红色单独醒目标示,前面是单词,背面是图片).

3.T:HerecomesJoand Mo.What do they have?Please listen and try to answer.

4.Now listen,follow and imitate.Try to look atthese pictures and tell. (当学生读得熟练时,去掉图片中的文字再读。)

5.T:Do Jo and Mo row the boat slow?Do you want to know more about them?If you want to know more about them,I hope you can remember what we have learned today,then we can know more things about them.

短课时教学设计二

1.T:Do you still remember how to pronounce “ow”?Yes.Now I will read some words with“ow”,you please write them down.

教师朗读单词,学生听音写出如下单词:bow,sow,mow,owl,row,low.同伴互相检查对错并反馈。

2.T:You can read and write the words.So can you read these words?Show them the words below.教师以旧带新,出示四组含有 ow/əʊ/的单词,让学生尝试自己拼读。然后再让学生听音、跟读,检查其掌握程度。

Now let’s know the meaning.

3.You did a good job.So today we can learn more things about Jo and Mo.Show them the story.First read quickly,try to answer:Who help Jo and Mo?(Jo and Mo的故事取自《我的第一套自然拼读故事书》。依据学情,在选用时,做了适当修改,降低了难度)

Then ask them to read again,and find out why Jo and Mo can’t slow the boat, and how the crows help Jo and Mo.

After answering the questions,they can listen and imitate the story.

4.T:After this class,please read the stories.Ifyou can,three of you can act the story.

短课时教学设计三

1.T:Hello,boys and girls.Can you remember what we have learned?That’s right.We have learned ow/əʊ/.Can you say some words with ow/əʊ/?Ask some students to say some words that they have learned.

2.T:Today we are going to learn some more difficult words with ow/əʊ/. You know this word“low”,so try to read this one:fellow,pillow,follow.Try to think the short sounds of“A,E,I,O,U”.So let’s read:

ye-llow-yellow;

Can you use the same method toread morewords?Let’s try.

Bor-row-borrow;win-dowwindow;sha-dow-shadow.

3.Good.Now let’s say a chant to practice the words.

Little fellow,little fellow,

I borrowed a yellow pillow.

Put the yellow pillow under the window.

Little fellow,little fellow,where is the shadow?

Little fellow,little fellow,

No sun,no shadow!

Now read after me,then chant in your groups.I will ask some groups to chant.

4.Please practice the chant.Nextclass I willask more groups to show.

短课时教学设计四

1.Ask two groups to show the chant that they have learned.

2.T:Boys and girls,do you still remember Miss Slow?MissSlow wantsto have a pillow.Miss cow has a yellow pillow.Can Miss Slow get the pillow?Read quickly and get the answer.(图片来自百度)

When they can getthe answer,ask them to read again,find out the words with“ow”.Now you read the words,I will write them on the blackboard.Let’s read the words together.Boys and girls,in this story,we know Miss Slow and Miss Cow.They have the same letters“ow”,but they have different kind of pronunciation.So“ow”have two kinds of pronunciation.One is/əʊ/,the other is/aʊ/.

3.So from this class,we will meet some words with“ow”/au/.Now let’s remember“ow”/au/in a chant.Follow me,please.

Ow,ow,ow/aʊ/,“ow”as in“now”;

Ow,ow,ow/aʊ/,“ow”as in“how”;

Ow,ow,ow/aʊ/,“ow”as in“cow”;

Ow,ow,ow/aʊ/,“ow”as in“town”.

Now follow me,let’s read.Then I will ask some of you to read.

Here is another chant.Can you read by yourselves?Try it.

Cow,cow,cow

Down,down,down!

Town,town,town!

Down to town.

A cow is down to town.

5.T:Boys and girls,what have you learned from this class?Ask them to think over and do a summary.

1.T:Do you remember what we have learned? Right.“ow” has two kinds of pronunciation.We have learned ow/əʊ/and/aʊ/.In this class we will go on learning ow/əʊ/.Can you say some words with ow/aʊ/?Ask them to say the words that they have learned.

2.T:TodayIhavesome more words with “ow”/aʊ/.Do you remember in these words,“ow”as in “now”and“how”?So look at this word “own”,do you remember Jo and Mo own a boat?But if we add some letters,it will be changed.Show them the words below.First read together,then ask some of the students to read the words.If they can read well,they can get a paper flower as a reward.

T:You can read the words well,so many of you can get my flowers.Show a flower on PPT.

T: We have learned“flower”before.We can read this word as:fl-ower.So can you read “power”?p-owerpower;t-ower-tower;sh-ower-shower

Ask them to read in pairs,then ask some pairs to read the words.

3.You did a good job.Now let’s read a story written with thesewords.When you read,find out the words with“ow”.

A clown is down tothe town.The clown is wearing a crown. The clown sees three brown bears.“Mr.Clown,come to the tower!”The bear on the tower says to the clown.But how?

4.How many words have youfound?Good.Let’sread them again.Then listen to the story and imitate. After imitating,ask them to read in groups. And that’s the homework.

1.T:Who can read or act the story about the clown?Ask one or two read or act.

2.Wehaveleaned many words with “ow”.Now let’s review the words we have learned.Let’s read one by one.

把上面的单词顺序打乱,让学生再读。

3.Let’s do some exercises.

(1)判断发音是否一致,一致写T,不一致写F。

(2)Listen and number.

4.Good.Now let’s share a poem.Listen and follow.I hope you can read it again and again,and try to read it to your parents after this class.

It is winter./I look out of my window./I can see white snow./Down comes the snow./Slow,slow,slow.

It is spring./I look out of my window./I can see something yellow./Up comes a flower./Slow,slow,slow.
