摘 要：中国翻译界目前有一种倾向：“中国梦”的英译模仿“美国梦”的英语American Dream而译成Chinese Dream。 研究发现，American Dream被译为“美国梦”是误译，正确译文是“美国人的梦”，因为“American Dream”的真正含义是美国人的梦，是美国人对富裕和充实生活的梦想，而不是美国对富裕和充实生活的梦想。“中国梦”是中华民族复兴之梦，是整个中华民族的梦，“中国梦”是中国的梦，“中国梦”只能译为China Dream，不能译成Chinese Dream（中国人的梦）。

Abstract： There is a tendency in the field of Chinese translation： the wrong translation of translating “Zhongguo Meng” into “Chinese Dream” like the way of translating “Meiguo Meng” into “American Dream”. The study finds that it is wrong to translate “American Dream” into “Meiguo Meng” and that the right version should be the dream of American people as the true implication refers to the dream of American people， which is their rather than the nation's dream of wealth and a plentiful life. In contrast， “Zhongguo Meng” is Chinese nations dream of rejuvenation， so it can only be translated into “China Dream” rather than “Chinese Dream”.

一、“中国梦”承载重大文化信息和重大政治意义

“中国梦”是习近平总书记提出的重要指导思想和重要执政理念，习总书记把“中国梦”定义为“实现中华民族伟大复兴，就是中华民族近代以来最伟大梦想”。习近平总书记提出的“中国梦”是中国人的民族集体记忆和中国历史、特别是近代苦难史和民族解放史的集中表述，是全体人民当下生存实践、生活现实、发展状况和社会变革的生动写照，是中国发展目标、民族共识和中国道路的新规划蓝图，体现了中国政治、中国哲学、中国文化、中国社会的当代关切。中国梦不仅是中国文化精神、哲学基础和理想色彩的集中展现，也是中国思想、中国精神、中国智慧的高度凝练的形象化展现，具有多元汇一的丰富内涵和鲜明的实践特征[1]。

二、中国梦的翻译趋势

“中国梦”的英语翻译至今林林总总，莫衷一是。常见的译名有：Chinas Dream， Dream of China， China Dream， the Dream， Chinese Dream， Chinas“ American Dream”，Chunghua Dream等。

虽然“中国梦”的译文林林总总，可是中国翻译界有一种趋势——“中国梦”的译文模仿美国梦（American Dream）译成Chinese Dream。……
