【摘 要】“十年树木，百年树人”；“百年大计，教育为本。教育大计，教师为本”。高职外语教师与其他教师一样，从事的工作是培养和造就中国特色社会主义事业合格接班人和建设者的伟大工程。教师师德水平和专业素质关乎教书育人水平，关乎人才培养质量，关乎社会道德风尚。教师要不断学习、更新知识，提高专业素质和教育教学水平；教师要爱自己的事业，爱自己的学生，用一片赤诚之心培育学生，用高尚的人格魅力影响学生，用崇高的师德塑造学生。

Abstract： An old Chinese saying goes “it takes ten years to grow trees but a hundred years to educate people”. “Hundred years policy based on education， w hile the education policy based on teachers”. Foreign language teachers in vocational college are the sam e as other teachers， w ho w ork on a great project w hich cultivate the qualified successors and builders of socialism w ith Chinese characteristics. The level of teachers m orality and professionalism affect the level of teaching and educating， the quality of personnel training and social tendency of m orality. So teachers should keep learning； keep updating to im prove their professional quality and the level of educating and teaching. Teachers ought to love their career， ought to love their students w ho should devote their great passion in cultivating， influencing and shaping students by their noble personality and lofty m orality.

在第30個教师节到来前夕，习近平总书记到北京师范大学慰问师生，并发表了重要讲话。习总书记指出：“做党和人民满意的好老师，第一，要有理想信念；第二，要有道德情操；第三，要有扎实学识；第四，要有仁爱之心。”“一个人遇到好老师是人生的幸运，一个学校拥有好老师是学校的光荣，一个民族源源不断涌现出一批又一批好老师是民族的希望。”习总书记的讲话言简意赅地提出了作为一个“好老师”的标准，深刻指出“好老师”对于个人、集体、乃至民族复兴的重要意义，深情表达对中华民族“梦之队”的筑梦人的殷切希望。教书育人，是为国家和民族的未来培养栋梁之才，是教育者的责任，也是党和人民赋予教师的神圣使命。高等职业教育担负着为国家的经济发展培养具有现代科学知识的“高素质技术技能”人才的责任。高职外语教师应具备哪些素质和能力，如何把学生培养成优秀的外语专业技能型人才，是高职外语教师需要思考和面对的问题，亦是本文探讨的内容。……
