教学目标:学生识记、拼读or字母组合音节,能分音节拼读单词,由易到难,在绕口令、故事阅读中提高对or字母组合发音规律的复现率,开阔学生视野,提高学生的词汇量,培养其积极的情感态度。

选取内容:以PEP四年级下册第四单元为蓝本,涉及了小学英语各教材中所含or的高频单词,适当补充了含有or字母组合的单词。

设计依据及建议:本设计依据短课时、高频率、多接触之英语教学原则而做短课时设计。六个短课时设计分别讲了or字母组合的两种读音,并对or字母组合在单词里的发音做了总结。

教学设计:

短课时教学设计一

1.T:Today I have some pictures for you.Look,this is a horn.It’s for you.And this is a horse,it’s for you,too.So a horn for you,a horse for you.Look at the screen.

A horn,a corn and a horse for you.How to spell“or”?Yes,or/ɔ:/.

2.Can you say some words with or/ɔ:/?Ask students to think and tell.

3.You did a good job.Let’ssharemorewordswith“or”.Look,show the pictures,ask students to read.

T:Let’s say a chant.

Which do you like?

Fork or pork?I like pork.

Which do you like?

Corn or horn?I like horn.

Which do you like?

Horse orshorts?I like horse.

T:I will ask,you answer.Then let’s exchange.This time in your group, one asks, one answers.

1.Review.Show the pictures

T:Can you say them?

2.Now try to read Picture 1 and remember. Then show Picture 2.Ask students to write them out.

3.T:You can write them.Good.Look,I have something funny for you to read.Let’s share.

Look at the man.To the north,to the north,even meet a big storm.During the storm,a tiny,tiny horn,hides in the corn.

Now look at the pictures,can you read them again?

4.Now let’s say a chant.While chanting,do the actions.

5.Homework:Review what we have learned.

1.Show the pictures they learned and review.

2.T:We have learned how to spell“or”.If I add e,how do you pronounce it?Look at the form.You can read more,so you know“ore”is pronounced the same as“or”.Who can read the words in the form? Ask some students to read and then lead them to read.

3.TodayIhave another funny story for you.Please read and try to tell what the story is about.

1.Show thehalfofthe story.Ask them to read it,and share their guesses.

2.If your guesses are right.here is the other half.Please read and try to tell why Sport stop short.

1.T:We have learned how to spell the words with“or/ ɔ:/”.Such as for,or,horse,short...But we know this word:word.How to read?Yes,word/wз:d/not/wɔ:d/.Here are some words(见下图),they are the same.Read and think when they can be spelt/з:/,not/ɔ:/.

2.T:What do you find?Yes,wor/wз:/.Let’s remember it:wor/з:/.But remember,“wor”is not always pronounced like this.Such as:worn.Now look at Picture 2,in your group.Read and try to write them out.

3.Now let’s say something with the words.Can you say something about it?Try it.Next class show your sentences.

1.Show the words they them learned last class and review them.Then share their sentences.

2.T:I can say something with the words.Look.A worm is doing housework.A worm is reading a book.A worm says:Oh,my housework.oh,my homework.oh,so much work.I am worn out.But can worms in the world say a word?

3.Do you like my idea?Now let’sread together,pay attention to“wor”.

4.Just now we learned wor/wз:/.But look at these words,they also have“or”in them.Can you read doctor?Yes.So here“or”is pronounced as/ə/.

Now let’s compare the words we’ve learned.What have you found?

You got it.If“or”is in the middle,it is pronounced as/ɔ:/.When you see“ore”,it is also pronounced as/ɔ:/.When you see“wor”,it is often pronounced as/ɔ:/.If“or”is behind,it is pronounced as/ə/.

5.If you want to learn it well,you must practice and read more.
