摘要：本研究基于ESI和InCites数据库，通过计算潜力值预测湖北大学发展潜力最大的学科为植物学与动物学。选取湖北省高校中植物学与动物学学科已经进入ESI前1%的学校，即华中农业大学、武汉大学、华中科技大学和华中师范大学作为比较对象，对湖北大学的该学科进行了相关对比分析，以期为学校的学科建设提供数据支持。

Comparative Analysis of Potential Disciplines in Colleges and Universities Based on ESI and InCites

——Taking botany and zoology of Hubei University as an example

AbstractBased on ESI and InCites database，this study predicts that the disciplines with the greatest development potential of Hubei University is Plant & Animal Science by calculating the potential value. This paper selects the universities in Hubei Province，namely Huazhong Agricultural University，Wuhan University，Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Central China Normal University，which have entered the top 1%ofESI as the comparison object. This paper makes a comparative analysis of the discipline in Hubei University. In order to provide data support for the discipline construction of the University.

引言

隨着国务院“建设世界一流大学和一流学科”重大战略规划地提出，全国各大高校开始越来越重视自身的学科建设。2018年1月19日，湖北省高校服务地方发展暨“双一流”建设动员大会上，湖北省教育厅、财政厅和省发改委联合发布了湖北省一流大学和一流学科建设高校和学科名单。湖北大学入选“国内一流大学建设高校”，材料科学与化学、中国语言文学与哲学文化、生物学入选“国内一流学科建设学科”。[1]

基本科学指标数据库（Essential Science Indicators，简称ESI）是科睿唯安公司推出的分析型数据库。[2]InCites数据库则是ESI数据库的补充，是一种综合性科研分析工具。[3]本文基于ESI和InCites数据库，通过计算潜力值挖掘出湖北大学的潜力学科，并选取相关高校进行学科的对比分析。

1数据来源与研究方法

本研究中的数据主要来自ESI和InCites数据库。ESI统计数据采用ESI官网2020年11月24日发布的覆盖2010年1月1日至2020年8月31日时间段的数据（基于WOS平台的SCIE和SSCI收录的Article、Review文献类型）;InCites统计数据采用InCites官网2020年12月17日发布的覆盖2010年1月1日至2020年11月30日时间段的数据。……
