Objective To introduce the design background, implementation process, and effect of the standby oral drug information management system. Methods Based on the original management process of the standby oral drug in a tertiary hospital in Wenzhou, the standby oral drug information management system was designed to solve the problems in the weak links and key nodes. Results After using the standby oral drug information management system for 6 months, the drugs needing to be replaced for expiration were reduced by 1805 tablets, saving about 2,823 yuan in total. The number of adverse events related to the standby oral drug was reduced to zero. The qualified rate of the expiration examination of standby oral drug increased to 100%. Conclusion The standby oral drug information management system helps improve the quality of hospital's drug management, reduce the incidence of adverse events and achieve economic benefit, proved to be worthy of wide clinical use.

备用口服药是医院各科室常用药，主要用于应对临时治疗及夜班补药不便情况。因其使用频繁，每种药物通常会备有5～10片置于玻璃瓶或化验试管中[1]。常备药物包括有镇静药(如地西泮)、止痛药(如去痛片)、降压药(如硝苯地平)等，种类繁多。患者服用后，护士按常规补充所缺药物于储药容器中。按照本院传统的备用口服药管理流程，所有备用口服药均需每半年更换处理一次。这一过程存在不少的安全隐患[2]及资源浪费问题[3]。医院药物的使用首要确保正确、安全、质量合格[4]，与此同时遵循经济效益原则，实现资源利用的效益最大化。因此，在各科室必须有备用口服药的情况下，如何更高效安全地管理好这些药品是亟需解决的问题。我院自2019年7月起，开始借助信息化手段，结合临床需要，设计了备用口服药信息管理系统，应用后取得良好效果。

备用口服药信息管理系统的设计与应用

1.设计原则。通过将护士站医嘱导入系统与电子病历系统及药剂科病区药房管理系统建立数据连接，实现备用口服药信息实时更新，准确统计各护理单元各时间段备用口服药的使用种类、使用剂量及使用频率等数据，而药剂科病区药房管理系统可以准确读取是病人即时用药还是补充备药，以打印准确的外包装信息。
