摘  要：新农科建设给地方院校的涉农专业提供了重要的机遇和挑战。文章以山东聊城大学的动物医学专业为例，从培养高水平应用型人才是专业建设的目标，聚焦地方经济社会发展需求是专业发展的突破点，建设高水平实践教学能力的师资队伍是专业发展的中坚力量三个方面论述了如何在地方院校中实现专业发展，以期对地方院校涉农相关专业在“双一流建设”的大背景下，贯彻新农科理念进行专业建设提供有益的探索。

Abstract： The construction of new agricultural science provides important opportunities and challenges for the agriculture-related majors in local colleges and universities. Taking the animal medicine major of Liaocheng University， Shandong Province， this paper discusse show to realize the professional development， and implement the professional development in the concept of local universities， under the background of the "double first-class construction" from the three aspects： training high applied talents is the chief goal of the major; breakthrough point focusing on the critical question from local economic and social development; excellent team of teaching staff with high level practice teaching ability and so on.

当前，“双一流建设”在我国高等教育发展中发挥着重要的引领作用[1]。但是，我国高等农林教育在一定程度上，仍然是高等教育的“洼地”，存在着诸多发展困难和瓶颈[2]。特别是在数量众多的地方院校中，由于各种原因，有若干专业发展都面临基础薄弱、定位不准确、特色不明显和办学条件差等问题，社会对于地方本科高校的研究和关注较少[2-3]。除此之外，动物医学类专业在建设过程中，还面临着与国际化培养标准、本科专业类教学质量国家标准及专业认证标准对接的严峻课题[1]。

动物医学不仅对保障畜牧养殖业健康发展非常重要，同时也在人兽共患病防治、食品安全保障、环境保护和公共卫生维护等方面发挥极其重要的作用[4]。在发达国家普遍实施执业兽医资格考试制度，民众可以认知到兽医对动物和人类健康、动物福利、食品安全与公共安全做出的卓越贡献[5]。……
