摘  要：借鉴国际和国内学术英语教学的诸多实践与理论，引入学术素养的概念，指出蔡基刚教授《通用学术英语》系列教程的目标读者包括高中国际班学生、大学一二年级学生和研究生新生，一方面说明了学术素养在我国教育体系中的广泛缺乏，另一方面指出这个定位具有一定的误导性，对于不同级别教育机构一线从事学术英语教学的教师们来说，学术英语课程设计存在梯度性问题，尤其是研究生的学术英语教学与本科生的学术英语教学至少应该存在一定的通用性、衔接性和递进性。文章对于课程设计者和教材编写者具有一定的价值。

Abstract： In light of the numerous reports of academic English teaching around the world， introducing the concept of academic literacy， this paper is inspired by Professor Cai Jigang， who is cited to claim that the series of EGAP textbooks he has compiled target at the international high school classes， freshmen or sophomore undergraduates and the first-year postgraduate students， which is confusing and misleading to the front-line teachers as postgraduates face much more complex academic tasks and there have to be differences between postgraduate and undergraduate EGAP teaching. This paper draws upon the latest research findings to suggest academic English courses for postgraduate students pursuing a master's degree contains elements of EGP， EGAP and ERPP， emphasizing its general-purpose， transitional and gradient features. This paper is of value to curriculum designers and textbook compilers.

引言

當前，我国在国家政策层面上，对学术国际化和高等教育国际化进行了明确的规定和倡导。根据《国家中长期教育改革和发展规划纲要（2010-2020）》的规定，高校要“培养大批具有国际视野、通晓国际规则、能够参与国际事务和国际竞争的国际化人才”。教育部《关于实施本科教学质量与改革工程的意见》指出，高校应“切实提高大学生的专业英语水平和直接使用英语从事科研的能力”。国家留学基金委推出了国家建设高水平大学公派研究生项目，“选拔一流的学生，到国外一流的学科专业，与世界一流大学合作，师从一流的导师”，培养具有国际视野、积极参与国际交流的人才。……
