竹编工艺作为中国传统手工艺的一种，具有悠久的历史。在传统日常生活中，竹编器具几乎随处可见，从竹席、椅凳等家居用品，到蒸笼、茶具等饮食用具，甚至到用于建筑的大型工棚。然而，在科技飞速发展的当下，具有低成本、高耐用性等优势的塑料制品以及其他高分子材料产品，给竹编工艺带来了前所未有的挑战。人们意识到，一味地墨守陈规，只会使竹编工艺逐渐淡出人们的视线，只有不断创新，适应时代发展，才能将这份传统文化继续发扬光大。

Bamboo craft, a kind of Chinese traditional handicrafts,has a long history. The products of bamboo-weaving almost always accompany us in our daily life, for example, some household items like bamboo mats and chairs, some kitchen utensils like food steamers and tea things, and even large sheds in the construction.With the rapid development of science and technology,however, some plastic products and other products of polymer materials with low cost and high durability have brought unprecedented challenges to the bambooweaving products. Therefore, people have learned that if we just do what we used to do without any creation, the bamboo craft products will gradually fade out of people's attention. In order to carry forward the traditional culture, we should make constant innovations and adapt to the development of the times.

竹编工艺的发展脉络

竹编工艺起源于中国，主要在适应竹子生长的南方地区盛行。早在新石器时代初期，我们的祖先就学会了利用竹子等植物来编织器物。在浙江湖州钱山漾的新石器时代遗址中，就出土了大量竹编器具，品种繁多、用途广泛，涉及家具用品、饮食用具和农业用具。由于竹子弹性和韧性俱佳，坚固耐用且易于获得，竹编器具在人们的日常生活中变得不可或缺。

殷商时期，因陶罐的罐面上流行印有竹编的纹样图案，使得竹编的纹样形式逐渐得以丰富。春秋战国时期，竹编的发展在满足功用性的同时，也不断地实现着自身的装饰性审美功能。竹编器具愈发细致，编织技法也愈来愈发达，更涌现出了一批擅长竹编的能工巧匠。秦汉时期，竹编工艺沿袭了之前的编织技艺，并在此之上变得更加成熟，制品也更加精巧。唐宋时期，竹编的工艺美体现得愈发明显，供达官贵人赏玩的花灯、龙灯等，均由竹编工艺完成。……
