【摘要】小学教育是基础教育的起点，是孩子们成长的基石，是培养和造就人才的初始阶段。随着国际国内形势的发展，英语已成为人们之间沟通交流的重要工具。社会、学校、家庭也越来越重视孩子们的英语学习。而作为思想认识和行为都未完善的学生个体是否真的愿意学习英语、对英语感兴趣呢？这个重担毫无疑问的落在了对小学生影响最直接的英语教师身上。

著名教育学家乌申斯基说：“没有任何兴趣，而被迫进行的学习，会扼杀学生掌握知识的意愿。”中国在世界上越来越具有举足轻重的地位，与英美等发达国家的联系也越来越密切了，语言的交流也越来越顺畅了，这源于越来越多的人开始从小学习英语，热爱英语。这也就对我们的小学英语老师提出了高标准、严要求。

一、培养小学生英语学习兴趣的重要性

（一）培养学生的兴趣是学生主动发现、探索、学习的动力

从小学生的心理上来说，小学生的直观感觉大于理性思考，对于一门新课程，小学生往往是从“我喜不喜歡”这个原则出发，这个特点要求教师要从一开始就要让学生喜欢这门课。在求知欲的促使下，他们对知识的掌握速度也会比那些毫无兴趣的同学快得多。

（二）兴趣的培养能够对学生学习活动创造性地激发，能够培养学生学习的自觉性

学习不是一个短时间的过程，特别是对于一门语言来说，学习英语将是一个终身的过程。……
