1直接陈述

新闻陈述的内容大致有两种，一是已经发生的事，二是还未发生，但是有消息透漏即将将发生的，因此，陈述的时态基本是过去时和将来时。

在过去时中，作者会采取两种处理方法，或单纯对发生的事件进行报道，或联系新闻事件主体的过去表现综合进行报道。前者用一般过去时，后者用现在完成时。举个例子，一家公司股票大跌，这时作者可以单纯的叙述股价暴跌这个事实，也可以综合该公司以往的业绩表现。

一般将来时的表现形式多种多样，可以是以will， be going to do引导的；可以是may might could这类带有情态动词的句子，可以是用现在进行时表示将来时态，也可以带有probably be unlikely to这种明显标志词。

新闻的简洁性要求新闻必须要以最简洁的语言表达出主谓宾最基本的逻辑关系，然后在这个基础上添枝加叶，这里的枝和叶就是定语，状语等结构。

借助英语中定语从句，同位语结构，介词短语我们可以修饰新闻中的人物，事件等。这样新闻的语言层次就更丰富了。
