从产品设计管理看设计教育管理

摘要：产品设计是一个全面并且系统的过程，因此设计与管理的结合也是设计发展的必然趋势。只依靠设计师个人能力进行设计的方法已经不再适用，一个设计师的专业技能再好，缺少了有效管理便不能保证设计资源得到充分的发挥。设计管理打破了企业中部门的界限，设计组织或者机构利用团队的工作方式来实现在设计上的创新突破，通过设计与管理的互动调动、整合各种资源，以便设计出适应市场需要的产品，实现最大的效益。当今的设计教育也应当尊重这一特点进行管理。

Abstract:Product design is a comprehensive and systematic process，and thus the inevitable trend of design development is the combination of design and management.The method of only relying on the designer's ability to design is no longer applicable，and a designer's professional skills cannot be able to ensure that the design resources could fully fulfill their function without effective management.Design management has broken the boundaries of the enterprise sectors.At the meantime，design organizations or institutions employ the team's work to achieve the breakthrough in the design of innovation and develop the products which meet the needs of the market in order to achieve the greatest benefits through interactive mobilization of the design and management and integration of various resources.Today's management of design education should also respect this kind of characteristics.

一、设计管理的概念及作用

设计，指的是把一种计划、规划、设想、问题解决的方法，通过视觉的方式传达出来的活动过程（刘国余，2003），也可以称作为“有目的的创作行为”。而管理，则是由计划、组织、指挥、协调及控制等职能等要素组成的活动过程（王金献，1993）。设计管理的第一个定义由英国设计师Michael farry于1966年首先提出，“设计管理是在界定设计问题，寻找合适设计师，且尽可能地使设计师在既定的预算内及时解决设计问题”，他把设计管理视为解决设计问题的一项功能。前伦敦商业学校设计管理中心的主任Peter Gorb曾说过，“设计师需要学习的最重要的事情，就是商业世界的语言。……
