摘要：灰塑主要是以贝灰、纸浆为原材料精雕细琢而成，具有雅俗共赏、色彩丰富、技法简朴、亦塑亦画等显著特点。灰塑工艺主要应用于祠堂、庙宇、豪门大宅和古建筑居多。在当今社会极速发展下，许多民间传统工艺逐渐被工业技术所替代，灰塑工艺也逐渐流失。在社会稳健发展的条件下，应加强保护传统工艺保护及传承。

Abstract：Lime modeling, worked at shell limestone and pulp with great care, suits refined and popular tastes, have rich colors, simple techniques and bears resemblance of both sculptures and pictures. The technique of lime modeling is mostly applied in ancestral halls, temples, grand mansions and ancient architectures. With the rapid development of modern society, many traditional art techniques are being replaced by industrial techniques and lime modeling is on the verge of being lost. Actually traditional techniques should be conserved and inherited more under the healthy modern social development.

1传统工艺灰塑

珠三角一带，流传着一种历史悠久，使用极为广泛，同时有十分具有艺术价值的传统建筑装饰工艺——灰塑。灰塑又称“灰批”。根据史书记载，在广州，灰塑这一种工艺早在唐僖宗中和四年（公元884年）就已经存在于民间。而到明朝、清朝，灰塑工艺的发展更是达到了鼎盛时期。不同于石雕、木雕、砖雕等遍布全国乃至全世界的雕塑工艺，南粤的灰塑具有极其浓郁的地方特色。这主要体现在以下两个个方面：其一，在材料方面，主要采用石灰、稻草、玉扣纸、糯米粉、糖、钢筋、钢钉、铜线、颜料等，将上述材料分别按比例混合在一起，制成草筋灰、石灰油、纸筋灰作为灰塑工艺的用料，为了提高粘性，有些用料还需沤制一段时间。虽然灰塑看起来与水泥成像或者雕塑相似，其实不然。水泥成像，由于水泥是水干（遇水很快就干），因此，上面的颜料很难渗入，色彩感不强且容易脱落。再说在阳光的暴晒下， 水泥会产生龟裂， 时间一长，形态就变了。而灰塑采用的石灰，是风干。……
