摘要：环境艺术起源于人对自然环境的美化、改善和利用自然改善环境这两种需求。自从人类掌握了种植术后，建立起了菜园、果园、苗圃；学会饲养后，围成了牧园。环境艺术就开始植根于人类这些最早的造园活动中，园林也慢慢地从实用型向观赏型过渡和转变。在社会城市化趋势越来越明显的今天，把环境艺术应用于城市园林建设中具有十分重要的现实意义。

Abstract: the environmental art originated in the person of the natural environment beautification, improve and use natural to improve the environment these two needs. 现代造园产生以来，环境艺术的形式空前丰富。形式完全是自由的，然而不论形式如何地变化，终究存在着一种相对原始的基础原则，制约和引导着形式的发展。功能永远是环境艺术形式的重要原则。环境艺术来自于大自然，因此它必须与自然之间取得最大限度的和谐，尤其是在城市中，除了工业化的环保设施隐瞒，环境艺术是改善城市生态环境的最佳方法。

一、城市园林中的环境要素

1、植物

植物是最早、最为基本的环境要素。环境设计是探讨如何将绿化演进为一种艺术创作当然它还包括其它许多内容，但是植物在环境艺术中的确是一种极为重要的创作元素。通常来讲，植物美学方面的问题，需要环境设计师与园艺师共同负责。人与人之间在对一些总是上有着不同的看法是正常的。譬如说种花，有人喜欢将不同颜色的花聚在一起，因为觉得那样是姹紫嫣红的；……
