爱国主义是中华民族的传统美德，是中华民族精神的核心内容，是近代以来，中华民族历尽劫难、屡遭西方资本帝国主义的侵略而始终不亡的根本原因。因此，新时代，我们必须继续大力弘扬爱国主义精神，把爱国主义教育贯穿国民教育和精神文明建设全过程，尤其需要加强高校思想政治理论课建设。在多门思想政治理论课中，中国近现代史纲要课（以下简称“纲要课”）在弘扬爱国主义方面具有比较突出的优势。那么，以纲要课作为主阵地弘扬爱国主义的依据何在？它以什么方式弘扬爱国主义？这种方式又如何具体操作，其实践路径是什么？这些正是接下来本文所要探讨的主要问题。

一 纲要课作为弘扬爱国主义重要阵地的依据

弘扬爱国主义、开展爱国主义教育是全社会共同的目标任务。社会主义核心价值观将“爱国\"作为重要内容，从个人行为层面对公民的基本道德规范提出了要求。2019年10月31日，《新时代爱国主义教育实施纲要》颁布实行，开创了新时代爱国主义教育的新局面。2023年10月24日，十四届全国人大常委会第六次会议表决通过《中华人民共和国爱国主义教育法》，从法治层面体现了对爱国主义教育的重视。进行爱国主义教育的方式很多，而“纲要课是弘扬爱国主义的重要阵地”，主要依据如下。
