［摘要］本研究从国际语言学与应用语言学类英文期刊收集中国作者和英语本族语作者发表的学术书评，对比分析其言据性特征和由此构建的身份特征。研究发现，两组作者书评语篇的言据性特征在总体上共性大于差异性，但在诸多具体细节上差异性大于共性；两组作者通过言据性所构建的作者身份呈现不同特征，两者虽都构建了著作介绍者和评价者身份，但中国作者更偏向著作介绍者身份，英语本族语作者则两种身份并重。研究认为，民族大文化和学科小文化是影响中外作者言据话语实践及其所构建身份的可能原因。研究结果部分印证了修辞偏好与文化以及话语实践与身份存在关联性等观点。

Abstract：ThisstudybuilttwocorporaofEnglishacademicbookreviewsbyChineseandnativeEnglishwritersfromkeyinternationaljournalsoflinguisticsandappliedlinguisticswiththepurposeofmakingacontrastivestudyofthepatternsofevidentialityanditsfunctioninconstructingauthorialidentitiesbythetwogroupsofwriters.Theresultsofthestudyshowedthatalthoughtherearemorecommonalitiesthandifferencesintheoverallpatternofevidentiality，theredoexistmoredifferencesinthespecificusesofevidentials.Theresultsalsoshowedthatthereexistdiscrepancybetweentheconstructedidentitiesinbookreviewsbythetwogroupsofwriters.Althoughbothgroupsconstructedintroductoryandevaluativeidentities，theChinesewritersshowagreaterpreferencetotheintroductoryidentity，whilethenativeEnglishwritersvaluebothoftheidentities.Thepossiblereasonsforthediscrepancymightbeduetothedifferentnationalbigculturesanddisciplinarysmallcultures.Theresultspartlyprovedtheassumptionsoftherelevanceofrhetoricalpreferenceandculture，therelationofdiscursivepracticesandidentity.

1.引言

言據性（evidentiality）可明示语篇信息来源和作者对信息可靠程度的判断及其态度，是辅佐语篇观点表达以及提高修辞劝说力的重要语言表征。然而，学术书评语篇中的言据性现象尚未引起学界的足够关注。实际上，在评价性很强的书评语篇中，作者可通过言据性修辞策略合理布局语篇的信息安排，呈现自己的评价态度，加强与所评著作作者和读者的互动与协商，提高书评的表述与评价质量，并在推介与评判著作之间取得平衡，构建恰当的评价身份，达到书评的修辞目的。本文对比中外英语学术书评作者如何通过言据性编码信息来源、构建多元互文对话、表达评价态度以及构建评价身份，试图为言据性、身份和英语书评写作等研究提供实证依据。……
