摘 要：1949至1966年间，因为特殊的社会政治文化环境，香港话剧舞台出现创作落后于现实、剧本落后于演出的严重情形。但是尽管艰难，戏剧家仍然在努力地推进香港戏剧运动。他们创作剧本以延续香港话剧的血脉，他们开展学校戏剧运动以培育剧坛新人，从而在那个特殊时空中萌生了属于香港的话剧，对香港戏剧发展产生了深远影响。

A Study of Hong Kong Drama Creation from 1949 to 1966

Abstract： During the period from 1949 to 1966， because of the special social， political and cultural environment， the creation of Hong Kong drama lagged far behind reality and the scripts lagged behind the performance. But despite the odds， dramatists were trying to advance the Hong Kong theatrical movement. They created plays to continue the blood of Hong Kong drama， and they launched the school drama movement to cultivate new talents in the drama field. Thus， the drama characteristic of Hong Kong was born in that special time and space， and had a profound impact on the development of Hong Kong drama.

1949年至1966年，是当代香港话剧发展的初期阶段。这一时期，香港话剧舞台出现创作落后于现实、剧本落后于演出的严重情形。香港话剧发展需要新的剧本，可是写剧本的人不多，并且创作者还大都是老一辈剧作家。这一时期香港反映现实的创作剧也不多，大都是演出古装剧和翻译（改译）剧。但是尽管如此，身处香港特殊的社会政治文化环境，戏剧家仍然在艰难地推进香港戏剧运动。他们努力创作剧本以延续香港话剧的血脉，他们努力开展学校戏剧运动以培育剧坛新人，从而在那个特殊时空中萌生了“香港话剧”（属于香港的话剧），对香港戏剧发展产生了深远影响。

一、“目前最需要的是创作”

回顾1949至1966年间的香港话剧舞台，人们感慨最多的，就是戏剧人才和戏剧作品的贫乏。话剧在香港，从1911年“清平乐”“镜非台”剧社成立，演出《庄子试妻》《金债肉偿》等剧算起，其起步并不晚;然而受到各种因素的制约，香港话剧长期处于文明戏阶段。……
