摘  要：在工程教育认证、“双万计划”、课程思政等不断推进的新形勢下，专业课程的设计与教学方式亟需改进，以提高本科生的培养质量。长江大学在不断调整中，摸索古生物地史学课程新的教学体系与教学方式。针对当前在课程设置、课堂教学、实验教学等方面存在的主要问题，提出了全面的解决方案，改革理论课与实验课的教学方式，推动线上线下混合式教学，建立定量的可持续改进的课程评价体系。

Abstract： Under the new situation of the advancing of Engineering education certification， double ten thousand plan， curriculum ideological and political， the designing and teaching methods of professional courses need to be adjusted to improve the quality of undergraduate education. In the constant adjustment in Yangtze University， the new teaching system and methods of the course of Palaeontology and Historical Geology has been discussed and carried out. In view of the main problems existing in the current curriculum setting， classroom teaching and experimental teaching， this paper puts forward a comprehensive solutions in order to reform the teaching methods of theoretical and experimental courses， and promote online and offline mixed teaching， and finally establish a quantitative and sustainable course evaluation system.

作者任职的长江大学是传统的石油类高校，古生物地史学课程主要针对地质学、资源勘查工程和地球化学专业的本科学生，讲授古生物学各门类化石的特点及地史时期生物圈、岩石圈和水圈的演化历史。古生物地史学是一门与时俱进的课程，课程体系、教学方式改革等一直吸引着大学教师们不断思考和探索[1-5]。作者自2015年开始承担古生物地史学课程的教学任务，完成了2014级、2015级、2016级、2017级和2018级本科生共18个班的授课，对古生物地史学课程设置、课程体系、教学方式等进行了思考和总结。

近年来，随着长江大学在工程教育认证、“双一流”学科建设、“双万计划”等的推进，对人才培养提出了新的要求，一流本科教育也成为了大家的共识。资源勘查工程专业于2016年通过工程教育认证，2019年入选“双万计划”中的国家一流专业;地质学专业于2019年入选“双万计划”中的湖北省一流专业。……
