摘 要：手动变速器是使用手拨动变速杆改变变速器内的齿轮啮合位置，进而改变传动比，改变发动机传到驱动轮上的转速和转矩，完成原地起步、爬坡、转弯、加速等功能。而六档的设置不仅可以提升换挡和行驶的平顺性、降低汽车的燃油消耗量、提升发动机的使用寿命，还能够更好地适应现代城市道路的实际交通现状和车主高速道路行驶的客观愿望等，因此六档（前进挡）的设置就显得尤为必要。

The Necessity Analysis of Six-speed Setting of Automobile Manual Transmission

Abstract：The manual transmission uses the shift lever to change the gear meshing position in the transmission， thereby changing the transmission ratio， changing the engine speed and torque transmitted to the driving wheels， and completing functions such as starting on the spot， climbing， turning， and accelerating. The setting of six gears can not only improve the smoothness of shifting and driving， reduce the fuel consumption of the car， and increase the service life of the engine， but also can better adapt to the actual traffic status of modern urban roads and the objective desire of the owner to drive on high-speed roads and so on. So the setting of sixth gear （forward gear） is particularly necessary.

1 常见汽车五档手动变速器的类型和特点

手动变速器（简称MT）又称机械式变速器，即必须用手拨动变速杆（俗称"挡把"）才能改变变速器内的齿轮啮合位置，改变传动比，用来改变发动机传到驱动轮上的转速和转矩，在原地起步、爬坡、转弯、加速等各种工况下，使汽车获得不同的牵引力和速度，同时使发动机工作在较为有利的工况范围内。

手动变速器有很多优点：可以给汽车驾驶爱好者带来更多的操控快感;传输效率比自动变速箱为高，在同排量发动机条件下，比液力自动变速器省油;构造较简单，维修保养比自动变速箱便宜、耐用程度比自动变速箱好;工艺相对成熟，制造成本低，价格便宜;可靠性較高等。同样手动变速器也有一些缺点：换挡时需要同时控制离合器、换档手柄和油门，使得驾驶员操作负担大，特别对于新手，易造成驾驶员紧张，影响行车安全;控制离合器技术不纯熟者常常在马路上熄火，特别是上坡操作不当的话有机率把引擎跟变速箱弄坏;手动变速器属于纯力学机械结构，故增加档位必会造成体积和质量的增加等。……
