摘要：《活着》是余华对苦难的理解，也是他对生命的诠释。对于常人所难以忍受的生存之苦，“福贵”身上所表现出来的“坚韧”与“宽容”让人不禁动容，他回想的苦难剥离了生活的触目惊心，取而代之的是夕阳中慢悠悠耕作的老牛与垂暮白叟置身事外的超然。在他的身上有一种坚韧、安静而深刻的生命力，宁静祥和，庄严肃穆，其实彰显着生命美学的魅力。

《活着》通过福贵对戏弄他的命运的顽强抗争，见证底层小人物坚定而顽强的生活意志。初读《活着》，只觉得福贵一生经历了太多苦难，哪怕他曾经犯过错，曾经混蛋过，可在他幡然醒悟之后，岁月给他的惩罚未免太重了些。然而在拜读了很多次作品之后，我看到的却不是死亡，不是苦难，而是温情，是希望，是生命的力量。福贵所经受的苦难并没有让他跌倒，反倒是让他以坚韧和温暖来拒绝苦难，也让这个角色呈现出熠熠生辉的生命力量。年轻的福贵贪图享乐、沾染恶习，受苦后的福贵却知道如何向他人伸出援手。他反对以眼还眼，以牙还牙，福贵宽恕了间接夺走有庆生命的春生，他宽容、善良，因为懂，所以富有同情心。这是福贵这个角色彰显出来的第一层生命之美，是人性之美。第二层生命之美来自福贵自己，在他生命的暮年，他送走了所有的亲人，只剩下“福贵”与他相依为命，但他没有痛苦怜悯，没有恐惧哀戚，有的只是宁静祥和、庄严肃穆，这是更深层次的生命之美。……
