摘要：《桥头眺望》是阿瑟·米勒的戏剧代表作，作品涉及美国30年代的移民问题，其中囊括着各类外来移民对于美国梦、美国价值观的接受和认同。同时，作品也从他者的视角，展现移民者原有的文化观念、道德伦理与美国的文化价值观念之间的冲突，既揭露人性深处的阴暗和无助，又剖析出美国社会关于移民浪潮的社会问题。这是国内阿瑟·米勒研究所较少关注的话题。

Absrtact： A View From the Bridge is Arthur Miller's masterpiece of drama， which deals with the immigration of the United States in the 1930s， including the acceptance and recognition of the American dream and American values by all kinds of immigrants. At the same time， the works also show the conflict between the original cultural concepts， moral ethics and American cultural values from the perspective of the other， which not only exposes the darkness and helplessness of human nature， but also analyzes the social problems of American society about the wave of immigration. This is the domestic Arthur Miller Institute less attention to the topic.

一、引言

一直以來，我国关于阿瑟·米勒的个案研究主要集中在《推销员之死》、《都是我的儿子》《萨勒姆的女巫》三部作品上，对于阿瑟·米勒其他作品的研究较为薄弱，而且在理论上主要从伦理学、心理学、生态批评等角度切入，或从戏剧结构、人物形象、悲剧性、戏剧语言等戏剧本体的角度分析，忽略其中所隐含的在文化层面上的国家认同。如同易卜生，阿瑟·米勒被誉为“美国社会的良心”，他的许多剧作都在反映美国社会所呈现出的不同的社会痼疾，例如身份、种族、移民、白人中心论等各方面问题。《堕落之后》透过主人公的意识流，呈现出美国在左翼势力影响下的社会问题;《桥头眺望》则以埃迪的家庭悲剧入手，从种族、移民等方面窥探美国社会。这些作品都以各自不同的角度，或是家庭题材，或是历史题材，辐射至美国的国家认同之中。与上述作品类似，《桥头眺望》是阿瑟·米勒极具代表性的家庭剧，透过埃迪的家庭悲剧，作品展现出认同美国身份的老移民与新一代非法移民之间深深的隔阂与怀疑，剖析了在美国三十年代经济、文化观念急剧转化的时期，外来者与美国本土价值观的冲突和碰撞。……
