摘要：随着全球联系逐渐紧密，经济、科技全球化进程日渐加快，英语作为最国际化的语言在国际交流上发挥着越来越重要的作用。但值得思考的是为何目前高校英语专业毕业生就业越来越困难。该文以湖南涉外经济学院为例，集中分析了湖南涉外经济学院外国语学院英语专业就业情况，并结合对大四英语专业应届毕业生的调查，深入研究了造成英语专业毕业生就业难的因素，并分析了特点和有待探讨和解决的问题，最后提出了有效提升英语专业就业核心竞争力的对策与措施。就业是关乎民生的大事，所以应该是高校乃至全社会都应该关注的重点问题，该文从学校、社会、个人这3个层面对英语专业学生就业核心竞争力提升策略进行了详细的分析与解说。

Research on Employment Core Competitiveness and Promotion Strategies of English Majors

Abstract：As the globalization of economy， science and technology is accelerating， English， as the most international language， is playing an increasingly significant role in communication. However， it is worth thinking about why it is getting more difficult for English majors to haunt for jobs. Taking Hunan International Economics University as an example， this paper focuses on the analysis of the employment situation of English majors in the School of Foreign Languages of Hunan International Economics University. Combined with the survey of the fresh graduates of senior English majors， this paper makes an in-depth study of the factors that cause the difficulties in the employment， and analyzes the characteristics and problems to be discussed and solved. Finally， the countermeasures to effectively enhance the core competitiveness of English majors are put forward. Employment is a major issue related to people's livelihood， so it should be a key issue that universities and even the whole society should pay attention to. This paper analyzes and explains in detail the strategies for improving the core competitiveness of English majors' employment from the three levels of schools， society and individuals.

近年来，各国之间的联系越来越密切，真正意义上实现了“地球村”，英语作为一门语言，在国际交流中发挥了越来越重要的作用。市场也越来越需要英语方面的人才，所以英语专业的就业前景本应该是十分可观的。但由于近年来各高校不断扩招英语专业的学生，加上英语专业硕士、博士研究生的数量越来越多，还有大量海外留学生的回归，就业岗位需求远远落后于扩招的规模，这直接导致了英语专业就业市场拥挤，很大一部分英语专业的毕业生面临着“毕业即失业”的困境。……
