1    Company develops AI-conirolled shoes智能导航鞋可避开障碍

Austrian company Tec-Innovation recently unveiled[推出] smart shoes that use ultrasonic sensors to help people suffering from blindness or vision impairment to detect obstacles[障碍物] up to four meters away. Known as InnoMake， the smart shoe aims to become an alternative to the decades-old walking stick that millions of people around the world depend on to get around as safely as possible. The currently available model relies on sensors to detect obstacles and warns the wearer via vibration[振动] and an audible alert sounded on a Bluetooth-linked smartphone. That sounds impressive enough， but the company is already working on a much more advanced version that incorporates cameras and artificial intelligence to not only detect obstacles but also their nature. The advanced system is integrated in the front of the shoes， in a waterproof and dustproof case. It is powered by a heavy-duty battery that can last for up to one week， depending on use.

China's population will stay above 1.4 billion “for a certain period in future”， said Ning Jizhe， head of the National Bureau of Statistics （NBS）， at a press conference on May 11th. “China's population will peak[达到峰值] in future， but there remains uncertainty as to when specifically it will happen，” Ning said. 3    Weddings on grounded planes日本航空推出“机内婚礼”

All Nippon Airways Co. will start offering wedding ceremonies in May aboard planes grounded due to the plunge in air travel amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the new service， couples can hold their wedding ceremonies aboard Boeing 777-300ER jets normally used for international flights that are not currently in operation. Up to 30 people can attend a ceremony. The usual in-flight meals are not part of the service. ANA will provide live music performances， and cabin attendants will read out congratulatory messages as if they were making normal in-flight announcements. Couples can also hold wedding receptions at an airport venue. The airline is offering the service for 1，555，000 yen. When combined with a reception， the price tag soars to 3 million yen. 4    Fans can't buy votes for contestans选秀节目严禁“花钱买票”

Online shows are prohibited from having sections in which viewers spend money to buy votes for entertainment stars， according to a notice released on May 10th， by Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau. The shows are strictly forbidden from instigating or encouraging netizens to vote for their favorite online show competitors via materialistic approaches such as purchasing specific goods or membership.
