环保涉及方方面面，近年来，中国在生态环境保护方面做了很多工作，我们可以通过下文简单地了解。

China is a developing country. Now it is confronted with the dual task of developing the economy and protecting the environment. China has， in the process of promoting its overall modernization program， made environmental protection one of its basic national policies， regarded the realization of sustainable development as an important strategy and carried out throughout the country large-scale measures for pollution prevention and control as well as ecological environment protection.

Ecological environmental protection is the focal point of its environmental protection work. Through protracted efforts the country has made outstanding achievements in the protection and nurturing of the ecological environment. Achievements have been made in afforestation. The government has paid special attention to the construction of forest ecological projects. Marine environmental protection has been strengthened. For the in situ conservation of wild plants and animals， China has been establishing nature reserves.

China has also contributed significantly to tackling climate change by controlling carbon emissions， promoting energy conservation， boosting the development of green energy and actively participating in international governance. Carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP continues to decline and carbon intensity has decreased by 18.2% compared to 2015.

Even so， challenges still remain. Our industrial structure still relies heavily on the chemical industry， the energy industry still mainly relies on coal， and transportation is still highway-based. Meanwhile， the world is undergoing profound and complex changes， the risks and challenges are growing every day. China's environmental protection is still an arduous task and the road ahead is long and tortuous.

中國是发展中国家，现在它面临着发展经济和保护环境的双重任务。中国在推进全面现代化建设的过程中，将环境保护作为基本国策之一，把实现可持续发展作为一项重要战略，在全国范围内实施大规模的环境保护、污染防治和生态环境保护措施。

生态环境保护作为环境保护工作的重点，经过长期努力，国家在保护和培育生态环境方面取得了显著成效。中国的植树造林取得成效，政府高度重视森林生态工程建设，海洋环境保护得到加强。为就地保护野生动植物，中国建立了自然保护区。

中国还通过控制碳排放、促进节能、推动绿色能源发展、积极参与国际治理，为应对气候变化做出了重要贡献。现在单位国内生产总值的二氧化碳排放量持续下降，碳强度较2015年下降18.2%。

尽管如此，挑战仍然存在。我们的产业结构仍以化工为主，能源产业仍以煤炭为主，交通运输仍以公路为主，与此同时，世界正在发生深刻复杂的变化，风险挑战与日俱增。中国环境保护任务依然艰巨，前路曲折漫长。
