摘  要：档案是人类记忆的真实记录。作为一种不可再生资源，它对于国家各领域发展都有着重要的保存和参考价值。科学合理地保护档案安全，最大限度延长档案寿命便成为人类社会生活一项功在当代，利及千秋的重要任务。笔者选取了国际档案管理水平名列前茅的美国、英国、加拿大、澳大利亚四国的国家档案网站进行浏览和学习，了解国外的档案保护工作特色并加以总结，得出改进和加强我国档案保护工作的启示，以期为我国的档案保护工作的完善奉献一己之力。

Abstract：Archives are the real records of human memory.As a non renewableresource， it has important conservation and reference value for the development of various fields of the country.The scientific and reasonable protection of archives and the maximum extension of archives life has become an important task of human society in the contemporary era. The author selected four countries such as the United States， Britain， Canada and Australia， which come out in the front of the world in archives management.The enlightenment to enhance the archives protection is proposed after browsing their archives Websites and analyzing the characteristics of the archives protection work abroad， in order to improve the archives protection work of our country.

档案是珍贵的社会记忆，我国档案界一直非常重视档案保护工作，在档案的预防与修复、档案的安全管理等方面积累了珍贵而丰富的经验。在自然环境、社会环境与数据环境日益复杂的今天，我们发扬我国档案保护技术特色与优势的同时，也应放眼世界，了解学习世界同行的发展现状，接触新事物、新技术、新理念，知其情，晓其艺，取其精华，补我之短。

1 国外档案网站档案保护工作内容概况介绍

对现代档案保护工作情况的了解，档案网站是首选便捷渠道。美国、英国、加拿大、澳大利亚的档案工作具有较高的档案管理水平，选取四国作为代表能在一定程度上反映出国外档案工作的发展现状，因此笔者通过观察四国国家档案网站了解国外档案保护工作的情况，以期找到共同特点和经验。

美国国家档案馆网站页面内容丰富，分上下两部分，其上是检索栏和七个服务窗口，其下是8个细致入微的有关档案馆、档案服务、馆藏资源、公众参与、合作机构等链接。……
