摘 要 电大英语课程是广播电视大学公共课，应在培养学生运用英语的能力方面充分发挥作用。但电大英语存在课程不能满足不同层次学生需求，教材不能激发学生兴趣，教学资源不能循序渐进提升学生听说能力等问题。注重课程的灵活性与教学目标的一致性相结合、提升学生的英语水平与激发学生的学习兴趣相结合、网上的自主学习与课堂的集中学习相结合是改进电大英语课程和提升学生英语水平的有效路径。

Problems in the English Curriculum of TV University and Countermeasures

Abstract The TV university English course is a public course for radio and television universities and should play a full role in cultivating students' ability to use English. However， the existing courses in the English University of TV University cannot meet the needs of students at different levels. The teaching materials cannot stimulate students' interest， and the teaching resources cannot gradually improve the students' listening and speaking ability. Focusing on the combination of flexibility of the curriculum and the consistency of teaching objectives， improving the English level of students and stimulating students' interest in learning， combining online self-learning with concentrated learning in the classroom is a valid path to improve the English course of TV university and improve the English level of students.

自从1979年广播电视大学创办以来，英语教学一直都是电大教学的重要组成部分之一。英语课程虽然和其它课程一样随着时代的发展和教学条件的变化在不断改进和完善，但不可否认的是电大现阶段英语教学远不能达到2004年教育部颁发的《大学英语课程教学要求（试行）》中所提出的“全面提高学生英语综合能力，特别是听、说能力”的教学改革目標。笔者认为如何顺应时代发展趋势和电大教育发展规律，着力研究电大英语课程存在的问题，积极探索电大英语课程改革的途径，已成为电大教育工作者不容回避的新课题。

1 电大英语课程存在的主要问题

1.1 英语课程不能满足不同层次学生需求

由于我国电大目前基本采取“免试入学”的招生方式，学校无法控制在校学生英语水平。然而电大英语课程并没有根据学生的英语水平进行分班教学，导致同一个班级的学生英语水平相差很大，有的学生具有高中英语水平，有的学生只具有初中英语水平，有学生却是零基础，连最基本的单词都不认识，这给教师课堂教学的展开造成了巨大困难与挑战。……
