新课标和考试说明对英语阅读填空（七选五）的要求做出了详细的说明，为了让学生更好地了解它，下面我介绍一下英语阅读填空（七选五）的特点及解题技巧。

一、试题模式

在一段约300词的短文中留出5个空白句子，对应有七个选项，要求同学们根据短文内容、结构，从选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项，选项中有两项为多余选项。

二、题型特点

1.重在考查学生准确，深刻地理解一篇文章的能力，对文章的结构和文脉，即句与句，段与段之间的逻辑关系的把握。

2.重在考查学生的逻辑思维能力。它不但要求考生具备词汇、句子、语段、语篇等方面的知识，而且要有辨证，综合，分析，归纳方面的逻辑思维能力，是阅读的深层理解。

三、解题技巧

1.通读全文，抓住主题。拿到文章后，不要急于去做题，而要浏览全文，了解作者的观点和写作意图，在有限的时间内迅速而准确地把握文章的主题。

2.浏览全文，确定体裁，抓住结构。一般说来，记叙文的语言是按时间发展顺序或因果关系排列的，常用的连接词有：then， later， after that， soon， after a while， in the end， so， because 等。说明文常采用总-分-总的结构形式，第一段说明要说明的主题，下面几段多是从不同的角度来说明问题，最后总结，所以各段之间多是平行关系，经常出现举例说明的现象。议论文先抛出议题，然后从正反两个方面进行讨论，最后得出结论。新闻体裁的应用文首句为主题句，下面展开细节性的报道。

3.分析篇章结构，找出各段的主题句或主旨大意。说明文和议论文每段的第一句多是主题句，那么所选句子必须和该段主题一致。分析每一个段落内部的层次，真正体会每个句子之间的关系，把握作者的思路，理清层次。

4.寻找句中标志词。文章中重复地使用某一词语或句子，或者用同义词、同意句表达，这些重复性的内容都有助于考生快速、准确地定位选项。

5.代入选项，检查答案是否合理。将所选答案放回空白处，通读全文，检查文章内容是否语义连贯合理、緊扣主题，语篇结构是否通顺连贯、具有一致性、合乎逻辑，写作思路是否清晰明了，格式以及用语是否恰当贴切，从而判断选择的答案是否正确。
