摘 要：城镇化进程的不断加速，使得乡村的经济和政治地位发生了很大改变。乡村旅游作为调整农业产业结构、改善农村劳动力剩余状况、维护农村经济持续发展、重塑乡村社会形象的重要途径，其发展一直备受国内外学者的重视。美国在发展乡村旅游过程中经历了诸多阶段，文章首先阐述了美国乡村旅游发展的背景；然后从国家上层建筑、企业经营者和旅游者的角度阐述了美国乡村旅游发展的动机，并分析其特色类型；总结了美国乡村旅游发展的影响，鉴于其在发挥乡村旅游有效性，抑制乡村旅游负面效应方面有相对丰富的经验和教训，最后从经济、文化、环境和社区等方面分析了美国乡村旅游发展对我国的启示。

Abstract：With the accelerating of urbanization process， great changes have taken place in rural economic and political status.Rural tourism is animportant way to adjust agricultural industrial structure， improve rural labor employment， maintain sustainable development of rural economy， and reshaperural social image。Its development has been paid close attention by scholars.The United States went through many stages in the process of developing rural tourism.The paper expounds the background of rural tourism development in the America； then elaborated rural tourism development motivation by position of national superstructure， business operators and rural tourists， and then analyzes its characteristic types；it also summarizes the influence of the rural tourism development in America，and finally analyzes the enlightenment to rural tourism development in China.

1 城镇化背景下美国乡村旅游发展概述

根据美国人口普查机构的调查，目前约80%左右的美国人为城市居民，这意味着他们居住在大都市范围内，剩下的20%被定义为乡村居民的人口，则分散在约占美国领土总面积十分之九的县域，这样的县一共超過2000多个，而真正依托农业生活的人口仅占不到2%[1]。当今的情形与1860年左右的美国内战时期正好形成了鲜明的对比，那时候80%的居民住在乡村区域，甚至在二战期间，乡村居民的比重仍然有44%，其中有25%是农场居民。

自19世纪末20世纪初开始，美国的工业化和城市化程度在不断加强，这对美国的乡村经济和乡村政治产生了极大的冲击和影响。……
