摘 要：历史文化价值与特色是历史城市的精髓，对历史文化价值与特色的研究是历史文化名城保护的前提和基础，是历史文化名城保护最核心的内容，与价值特色相应的文化遗存也是历史文化名城保护的重要对象。以国家历史文化名城韩城为例，以韩城壮阔的自然景观、多样的人文景观、深厚的人文文化以及丰富的各类历史文化遗产为主要研究对象，基于不同的历史维度和不同的遗存本体，总结梳理了韩城历史文化名城六条历史文化价值和四条历史文化特色，作为韩城名城保护的基础。

Abstract： History culture value and characteristics is the essence of histotic city. Study on the history culture value and characteristics is the premise and foundation of the protection of historic city， and also is the core of the historic city protection. The cultural heritage witch is corresponding to the history culture value and characteristics is the most impotent content of historic city protection. This paper takes Hancheng historic city as an example， taking magnificent natural landscape， diverse cultural landscape， humanistic culture and cultural heritage as research objects， based on different historical dimensions and different cultural heritage， summaries six pieces of history culture value and four pieces of history culture characteristics of HanCheng histoty city， witch are the basis of Hancheng historic citys protection.

在世界城市文化系统中，中国古代城市文化独自创发、自成体系、岿然独存，体现出了千百年来恪守传承的稳定、调和与臻于成熟，其集中体现在了城市的营建理念与方法上。一方面，我国古代城市早在公元前11世纪左右就已经建立了一套较为完备的、蕴含深刻哲学思想与内涵的营建方法和理论体系。另一方面，我国古代城市文化个性殊强，不同的区域与文化圈层孕育了不同的城市文化。这些不同的城市文化正是历史城市价值与特色的不同本源。

历史文化名城，在行政建制上以县级及以上城市存在，由此包含市域文化遗存与历史城区的不同范围和层次;在保护内容与对象上多样复杂，包括了历史城区及其城址环境的文化景观、历史城区镇村等传统聚落、文物保护单位及历史建筑单体遗产等。……
