【摘要】公共卫生博士研究生培养是我国高等医学教育的最高层次，其不仅是培养高层次医学科研管理人才的主要途径，也是各大院校和相关科研机构进行科学研究的重要路径。相较于美国，我国的公共卫生博士研究生培养起步相对较晚，相关培养体系还需完善和发展。本文以哈佛公共卫生学院博士培养为对照，结合作者的亲身经历，从入选条件，科研学术环境，毕业制度，和导师的作用四个方面，对中美公共卫生博士研究生的培养模式，进行分析比较，为我国的公共卫生博士研究生培养改革提供参考。

【Abstract】The education of Public health philosophy doctor（PhD） graduates is the top level of high？鄄level medical education in China， which is not only the main way to tain high？鄄level medical management and research personnel， but also an important way for the scientific research of universities and research institutions. In comparison with the public health PhD graduates education in the United States， the public health PhD graduates education in China is relatively late， and the its education system needs to be improved. In this study， based on the authors experience， the education of public health PhD graduates in the Harvard T.H CHAN School of Public Health was set as control to analyze the difference in the education model of public health PhD graduates between China and United States by PhD amission examination， the academic environment， the graduation system and the role of supervisor， which can provide a reference to the education reform of China public health PhD graduates.

受国家留学基金委的资助，作者于2015年2月-2016年5月在美国哈佛大学公共卫生学院开展了为期15个月的联合培养博士研究生工作，在此期间作者深深感到中美公共卫生博士培养方式的差异，及哈佛学术自由，追求真理的校风，对于国内的博士研究生培养有很多借鉴之处。

1.严格的博士研究生入选条件

以哈佛大学为例，对于博士研究生的筛选主要参考以下考试成绩，如GRE或MAT，2-3封推荐信，个人申请材料和面试，哈佛大学的博士筛选要求不一味强调书面成绩的重要性，即使是GRE等考试也只是作为参考，更多的注重在面试和推荐人的评价上，具有很强的灵活性，体现了其对于博士研究生能力全面性和价值性的要求，同时没有年龄限制[1]，以作者在美国导师的博士研究生为例，总共4位博士研究生，均为5年制，其中有过工作经历的博士研究生就有3位，只有一位是来自耶鲁的应届生。……
