摘要： 制约外语学习者外语习得水平的因素很多，智力因素在外语习得中所起的作用是本研究的重点。通过对大学新生的智商水 平和他们的高考英语成绩的对比分析，结果显示，男女生之间，本省和外省学生之间，农村和城镇学生之间以及汉族与少数民族学生 之间在外语习得水平上不存在统计学意义上的显著差异，男生组和来自农村的学生组的学生的英语成绩差异性较大；在智力水平上，外省学生、城镇学生和汉族学生分别显著高于本省学生、农村学生和少数民族学生。此外，作者发现这些大学新生的智商水平和 高考英语成绩之间，无论是整体上，还是按照性别、区域、城乡、民族分组后检测均没有显著的相关性，唯一例外的是女生的智商水平和她们的高考英语成绩呈现负相关。

Abstract： Many factors restrict the level of foreign language learners' foreign language acquisition， the role of intelligence factors in foreign language acquisition is the focus of this study. Through the contrastive analysis of the IQ and English achievement in college entrance examination of the entrants， it is found that， there is no statistically significant difference between the boys and girls， shudents of Yunnan province and other provinces， rural and urban students， students of Han nationality and other nationalities. The difference of English achievement is bigger in boys group and rural group. But at the intellectual level， the students from other provinces， urban students the students of Han nationality are significantly higher than the students from Yunnan Province， rural students and minority students. In addition， the author finds that there is no significant correlation between the IQ and English achievement in college entrance examination of the entrants， whatever is the whole or in accordance with the gender， regional， urban and rural or ethnic groups. The only exception is that there is a negative correlation between the IQ and English achievement in college entrance examination of the girls.

0 引言

外语和母语都是人类语言。人类语言是将声音、文字或其他信号与其意义匹配的一种形式系统（Fernandez，2011）[1]。尽管全世界有各种各样的被成千上万的不同人群所使用的语言，以乔姆斯基为代表的当代语言学家倾向于将人类语言当成一个整体，因为人类语言有如下共同的特点，即人类语言都拥有相似的结构和功能。例如，任何语言都有语法和词汇，并由此构成无限多的句子，表达任何思想。人类语言在结构和功能上的共同特点意味着人类的语言是人类特有的生物性的天赋。……
