摘 要 “意識困难问题”成为心灵哲学的焦点议题始于1994年，它所指的是意识和神经活动之间的关系问题。这一问题的起源可以追溯到近代哲学时期。探讨意识困难问题前史，有助于我们了解意识研究进程中真正的困难所在，深入理解交叉学科研究对于认识和解决意识困难问题所具有的重要意义。

History of Consciousness Difficult Issues

Abstract "Consciousness difficult issues" has become the focus of philosophy of mind issue began in 1994， it was referring to the relationship between consciousness and neural activity. The origin of this problem can be traced to the period of modern philosophy. Explore the history of the difficult issues consciousness， consciousness research helps us understand the real difficulty lies in the process， in-depth understanding of the importance of interdisciplinary research for the understanding and awareness of the difficulties to solve problems.

澳大利亚哲学家大卫·查尔默斯于1994年在美国召开的“关于意识的科学基础”的会议上正式提出“意识困难问题”，该问题一经提出就在哲学界引起了巨大的反响，并成为心灵哲学研究的重要议题之一。随着学界对“意识困难问题”的日益重视，该问题的影响范围已经扩展至认知科学、神经科学和物理学等科学领域。但是，意识困难问题并非是从“意识困难问题”提出时才成为哲学和认知科学热议的焦点。该问题在近代哲学史上已初具雏形。本文主要介绍意识困难问题在被正式提出前，在哲学史上的不同发展形式。

1 莱布尼兹：心灵的磨坊

早在近代哲学时期，莱布尼兹已关注过意识经验和大脑神经活动之间的关系问题，由于当时科学发展条件所限，对该问题的讨论尚处于最朴素的设想阶段。莱布尼兹提出“心灵的磨坊”来比喻该问题。“假如有一架机器，构造得可以思想、感觉、具有知觉，我们可以设想，把这架机器放大了，而仍然保持着同样的比例时，我们可以走进去，像走进一座磨房一样。……
