引言

教育部于2007年正式颁布实施的《大学英语课程教学要求》指出：“大学英语课程不仅是一门语言基础课，也是拓宽知识，了解世界文化的素质教育课，兼有工具性和人文性”。“各高校应根据实际情况，按照《课程要求》和本校的大学英语教学目标设计出各自的大学英语课程体系，将综合英语类、语言技能类、语言应用类、语言文化类和专业英语类等必修课程和选修课程有机结合，确保不同层次的学生在英语应用能力方面得到充分的训练和提高。”(教育部高等教育司2007)在我校近年大学英语的教学改革中，很重要的一块是第四学期拓展课程的开设。本文报告笔者在“英语电影视听说”课程开展行动研究的过程和成效，就教于业内专家同行。

一、行动研究

行动研究 （Action Research）最早由社会心理学家Kurt Lewin于1946年提出，逐步被介绍到教育领域，20世纪90年代引入我国的英语教学界(李晓媛，俞理明2007)，已经并正在被许多教育工作者了解和运用于教学实践中。在中国知网键入“行动研究”字样，就会出现数千篇相关的论文，其中不少文章出自国内英语教学界著名专家、学者和杂志社。仅此一点就能说明其受重视的程度。

何为“行动研究”？(Action research is)research that has the primary goal of finding ways of solving problems,bring about social change or practical action,in comparison with research that seeks to discover scientific principles or develop general laws and theories.(in teacher education)it is teacher-initiated classroom research that seeks to increase the teacher’s understanding of classroom teaching and learning and to bring about improvements in classroom practices.Action research typically involves small-scale investigative projects in the teacher’s own classroom,and consists of the following cycle of activities:a.the teacher(or group of teachers)selects an aspect of classroom behavior to examine in more detail.b.selects a suitable technique.c.collects data and analyze them.d.develops an action plan to help bring about a change in classroom behavior.e.acts to implement the plan.f.observes the effects of the action plan on behavior. (Longman Dictionary of Language Teaching&Applied Linguistics 2003)换句话说，行动研究就是对教学实际中出现的问题，进行一定的干预或采取某一“行动”。然后观察其效果，以解决实际面临的急待解决的问题(庞继贤1998)。行动研究是一个螺旋式的自我反思行为过程，大体可以分为四步：计划、行动、观察和反思(李晓媛，俞理明2007)。……
