仙辑

蓬萊阁是国家级重点文物保护单位，中国首批5A级旅游景区。

缘“仙境”而建的蓬莱阁，坐落在城北濒海的丹崖山巅，丹崖山拔海而起，通体赭红，与浩茫的碧水相映，时有云烟缭绕，蓬莱阁高居其上。

蓬莱阁主楼位于天后宫西北丹崖绝顶，为双层木质结构楼阁建筑，高11.55米，建于宋嘉祐六年 （1061年），与滕王阁、岳阳楼、黄鹤楼并称为中国古代四大名楼。

唐朝时，当地居民在丹崖山上建龙王宫，僧人在丹崖南麓建弥陀寺。北宋嘉祐六年，郡守朱处约将龙王宫西移，建起蓬莱阁，奠定了庙宇与园林相间的基础。宋元丰八年，一代文宗苏轼来此为官，虽匆匆五日，却放歌赞美山海，走笔留下华章，翰墨流传，和者日众，遂使丹崖仙阁名闻遐迩，誉满天下。从此，历代珍视，多有附建与增修，渐成今日之规模。

蓬莱阁由天后宫、龙王宫、蓬莱阁、吕祖殿、三清殿、弥陀寺等六个单体和附属建筑组成，形成了规模宏大的古建筑群，面积近二万平方米，建筑群中楼台殿阁分布得宜，寺庙园林交相辉映，各因地势，飞檐列栋，烟斜雾横，山丹海碧，协调壮观，独有千秋。

蓬莱阁是历代文人荟萃之地，他们留下的碑刻匾联琳琅满目，这些文化瑰宝，为山海增色，为仙阁添彩。蓬莱阁保存的历代文物十分丰富，为中外游人所赞叹。

自然的美、人文的美、画意的美、诗情的美，蓬莱阁堪称人世间的一绝，神话世界的瑰宝。

Penglai Pavilion is composed of six single units， namely， Thean Hou Temple， the Temple of the Dragon King， Penglai Pavilion， the Temple of Lyu Dongbin and the Temple of Amitabha， in addition to annexes. The grand ancient complex covers an area of nearly 20，000 square meters. In the complex buildings， temples and the pavilion are well arranged in the good contrast of temples and gardens. Well fitted into the terrain， the buildings form a coordinating and magnificent view with the red mountain and the blue sea in mists， giving full play to their unique features.

As a place visited by literati in different dynasties， Penglai Pavilion has numerous tablet inscriptions left by them. The cultural treasures add to the beauty of the mountain and sea and brighten the fairy pavilion. Abundant artifacts in different dynasties are well preserved in Penglai Pavilion， which are acclaimed by domestic and foreign visitors.
