阅读下面短文，在空白处填入1个适当的单词或括号内单词的正确形式。

二、答题情况

为了让高二的同学了解高考动态，了解自己的薄弱点，针对自己的薄弱点精准备考，笔者让本校高二一个物化生班的学生（平时统考平均分75分左右）做了这篇语法填空。事先并未告知这是今年的高考题，目的是想了解他们在最自然的状态下做出的结果。这个班有57人，全部提交答案。答题情况如下：

10道小题，3个纯空格，分别考查了一个连接代词（what），一个并列连词（and）和一个冠词（a）;6个给词题，分别考查了一个谓语动词的时态（was），两个非谓语动词（astonished， aching），一个词性转换（undoubtedly），一个名词复数（humans），一个比较级（hotter）和一个代词（mine）。考查的所有语法项目都没有超纲，而且都是常考的内容，但是没有一道题的答对率超过50%，问题在哪呢？

三、情况分析

下面具体分析各小题的考点及考生的答案所反映出来的问题。

56. What此处考查主语从句的连接代词。根据句子结构可知，句中缺少引导主语从句并在主语从句中做主语的连接代词。根据句意，这段经历令人惊叹的事是那个令人激动的景色。表示“（所）……的（事）”，相当于the thing that...，用连接代词What，位于句首要大写。

有10%的同学知道要填这个词，但没有注意要大写，未能拿到分。38%的同学填了It，由此看出这部分同学根本没有分析句子结构。26%的同学填了Which，这部分同学通过分析句子结构判断出这里要填一个连词，但对名词性从句的连词一知半解，加上不理解句子的意思，所以误填了Which（引导名词性从句，意为“哪一”）。
